I replace the standard forks, and then the knives, only with this style. To my surprise I found that my knife drawer still had plenty of room. With all of the silverware being silver and the khives being odd man out (black and thin) at first seem to be a no go. However, it turned out to be a real winner in our hosehold. I am glade I made the purchase.
