Chris Christensen Black on Black Shampoo (64 Ounce)

We use this product to offset any fading of our dog's black coat. It isn't a dye but seems to make the coat more black.

My fault, didn't look at the size, just looked at the bottle and the price. The bottle shape was what I normally see the gallon size in. The price is higher than the gallon size on the manufacturer's site, but they are currently out, so I thought I'd spend a little more to get it now. Other sites have a gallon size for a little less than this site, for what I found out is a half gallon from this supplier, but I like Amazon and they are easy for me to deal with. I think this company is shady acting as a middle man and selling this item at twice the price. I can get this at a dog show cheaper. Shampoo is great, Amazon is great, this supplier, I'll find another one as I recommend you to do the same.

I was sent whitening shampoo but ordered the black. My dog is black, I’m sure the white shampoo is fine. In fact I have been using it on him. I just wish I would have received black since he is black.

Our black cockapoo rescue dog has sensitive skin. The Black on Black shampoo keeps her coat looking shiny and healthy with no skin reaction problems. We follow up with Chris' Afterbath Rinse and then rinse that off. Though she's a park and disc-golf dog, she's also a house dog, so we bathe her every week (and also because she rolls in the wild turkey or deer poop from time to time). The shampoo and rinse combination keeps her skin and coat looking great without drying it out. Thanks, Chris Christensen!

I love Chris Christensen products, but this shampoo did not eliminate even the slight reddish cast that appears on several areas of my Newfoundland. I followed the instructions to the letter and she feels super clean, fluffy, and her coat looks nice in the sun, but the red that I wanted to get rid of is all still there. Overall, I get the same results with other Chris Christensen shampoos. Won't purchase again.
