Noctua NH-L9i-17xx chromax.Black, Premium Low-Profile CPU Cooler for Intel LGA1700 and LGA1851 (Black)

Very compact and low profile. Super easy to install. Requires access to the back of the motherboard. Noise level is super low with the low noise cable but would not recommend to use with a power hungry CPU like a 13900k or 14900k.

Many of these reviews are spot on. I used this on a i5 13500. The stock cooler was very noisy. While I do have a ASUS TUF gaming mobo with 32GB RAM and a RTX3060, this is not really meant for gaming. I just don't like slow rigs. So this cooler should suffice in terms of temps. So I ended up going with this low profile CPU cooler even though my box is full size. Just taking it out I can see the good quality. And when installed, there is a significant improvement in fan noise, this thing is really silent. I agree with the reviewer who said more than two hands is useful. I held the cooler while someone else put in the screws from behind the motherboard. And in my case, I had to remove the motherboard screws and take half outside, because my case did not provide access to couple of the screws behind the motherboard while installed.

This was my first PC build and this was very easy to setup and is extremely quiet. They included the thermal paste which I didn't even know to expect and also a little noctua badge. My Mini ITX stays pretty cool.

This is a solid, elegant cooler. For reference, I’m using it on an i5 12400 which is not overclocked.

A low profile cooler like this one is an absolute necessity for a small form factor Mini-ITX chassis. I used this with a build in a Joyjom two slot Mini-ITX chassis ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BLXY7S4Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 ). The stock cooler on the i5 12400 is 15mm too tall in the Joyjom chassis and I suspect a number of others that support multi-slot cards with a PCIe riser behind the motherboard. This cooler fits with about 5mm to spare never-the-less it is silent as you'd expect from Noctua despite the blades spinning in close proximity to the ventilation holes. Ran the brown one for about a year before changing over to the black for purely aesthetic reasons. (This unit sits on my desk and connects remotely to a noisy disk array and LTO tape library in another space via installed Fibre Channel and SAS HBAs ). Thermals are great even when this unit is stressed moving a high volume of data from the array to the three drives in the tape library while providing Fibre Channel and iSCSI targets to severl other hosts.

Super quiet and small great for a mini itx build. That's what I used it for.

Fits perfectly in a Silverstone micro-computer with an Asus 1851 series motherboard.

Purchased in May 2022 and died in December 2025. Fan has been making a terrible racket intermittently for several weeks, but I was never fast enough to see what was making the sound. I started experiencing extremely serious performance issues yesterday, and eventually figured out the CPU was MASSIVELY overheated. Couldn't figure out why, because the fan was going. But then I eventually caught this darn fan at a dead stop on a later inspection. I can't do without a CPU fan, so the RMA process is useless. I will have to buy another one even though this one is only halfway through its warranty period just so my computer can function. This process is so unfriendly to consumers.

As you would expect these fans are top quality, quiet and provide adequate cooling.

C'est mon deuxième, le précédent était pour AM4, même chose sur Lga 1700. Petit format, excellent résultats, merci Noctua !
