Bought to replace a failing battery in a Dell Inspiron 1300 series laptop. Fitted like a glove, charged and holding a charge well giving a much longer working life between charges. Can't talk about longevity yet but happy so far. Doesn't get hot when charging, all good.

Works as should, ran tests and battery is in fact new. It's nice to be able to have laptop run on battery for once and not worry about it dying in minutes.

great battery life for the money

My 6 year old Dell Inspirion 5579 2-in-1 sees very little use as it's my personal laptop as opposed to my work laptop. Having been mostly left plugged in, the battery was failing and I was receiving on screen warnings. Watched a Youtube video and realised how easy the replacement operation was. Ordered this item as it had good reviews - it was delivered the next day. The battery is identical to the Dell original, the swap over was smooth and seamless in no more than 10 minutes. No problem firing the laptop up. It took a full charge, and though I have not tried running it down in one go, but over the past few weeks, the performance appears as good as when the laptop was new. Recommended.

easy to fit and discharged and charged well enough, however after each charge , charge maximum capacity drops by about 8per cent, so in a weeks time i doubt if any charge will be left in it. so not pleased at all. No instructions on how to change the battery, so used the friendly on line video site 'on how to change it'

I do work in IT so I found the battery easy to change over - just a few screws and a ribbon type cable to disconnect - however, you do have to "crack" open your laptop case which maybe a bit scary for some. However - the battery is great. It was replacing the broken Dell battery which kept throwing error messages at me saying it wasn't capable of keeping my laptop on anymore. It has given me back my laptops mobility. Obviously dependant on what you do with your laptop and your power saving settings but I was using rekordbox software which requires a lot of processing power and it comfortably gave me 2.5 hours which charge to spare.

I needed to replace the battery in my daughters Dell Inspiron laptop. I found this one on Amazon and it was at a reasonable price. It fitted perfectly and was easy to install. I have given a 5 star rating for the ‘battery life’ but in reality I don’t know as I have only had it for a couple of weeks.
