Will the cupel absorb aluminum?

I don't know about aluminum. However cuppeling will remove the lead or bismuth carrier, as well as base metals such as copper present through oxidation, leaving the precious metal button behind. The button left behind should be .99 fine.

How many oz of silver can it hold at once

These cupels are for fire assaying. Probably 1-2 grams max. If you use them to melt only, may get 1toz in it(not very deep).

Can you use this in a propane furnace like a devil forge?

I’m not sure. These cupels are for assaying. If you are melting I would suggest clay graphite or silicon carbide crucible.
