The Pyle Home PDIWS10 in-wall subwoofer system delivers bass to any room in your home or office without cluttering floor space. Review: Pretty decent - Sounds good and was pretty easy to install, seems well built, I doubt I'll ever get a call back from the customer I bought this for. Handles what it says it will power wise. Blends into the ceiling well and looks good.
Review: 3-year update!!! THE BASS GODS ARE PLEASED!!!! - Ok, see below for original frustrations... I did eventually figure out that adding magnets in the corners completely resolved the "death from above" of the falling grill situation in my theater room, and I got these things POUNDING. See picture, search for B09L12YG7R or "Round Ring Disc Magnets 18 x 3 Hole 5 mm" and you'll get the product I used, it's a perfect fit. I also found I had to add foam weather stripping around the flange where the speaker meets the drywall to keep them from buzzing, I used B075PB9336 for this, it is 7/20-Inch x 6/25-Inch weather stripping. This additional effort has completely changed my entire opinion of these subwoofers. These subwoofers have been astonishingly good, very receptive in the sub-bass zone, response well under 35Hz and 4 of them are enough to shake a 4000 square foot house. Your amp's response range will be the limiting factor. So I'm updating these from 1 star to 5, but they do require a bit of augmentation to get working at full volume. The reason I'm back here with an update, is at very high volume, multiple nights a week, with a cheap amp feeding them dirty power, 3 years later, I have finally blown one (setup is 7.2 with four 8ohm speakers in 2 series pairs at 4ohms - see picture to see the setup). It was a glorious dance party listening to my teenage daughter's "Brazilian Phonk" or whatever the heck it's called, we absolutely roasted one of the 4 subs. "THE BASS GODS ARE PLEASED!!!!!" I purchased another without hesitation, and then realized my hate review was still up, so I had to give an update. Hope this helps. It does also appear the general build quality has gone up over the last three years, the glue and solder accuracy on the new sub is much cleaner, and it appears the wires connecting the terminals to the driver spool are much thicker with much more play for cone movement. Best of luck, continue sacrificing to the bass gods..... ***Original hatred from September 2022*** I bought 4 total, two of them the grills simply will not stay on. I'm going to have to figure something out, I can't have them falling on people's heads while we're watching movies, this is super dumb. Thanks for creating another problem for me? The other Pyle in-ceiling speakers have grills that very positively attach, not sure why Pyle went with this horrible grill design for their subwoofer line. Also, as mentioned in other reviews, what arrives is nothing close to the image, it's a white plastic speaker basket, not metal, though I can't say as it actually matters, they're built well enough. They are 8ohm and have two sets of terminals if you want to run them in series or parallel. These get one star for pissing my wife off.

Sounds good and was pretty easy to install, seems well built, I doubt I'll ever get a call back from the customer I bought this for. Handles what it says it will power wise. Blends into the ceiling well and looks good.

Ok, see below for original frustrations... I did eventually figure out that adding magnets in the corners completely resolved the "death from above" of the falling grill situation in my theater room, and I got these things POUNDING. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Surprisingly good for the pricepoint

I was surprised by the bass output of this guy given his price. From my standpoint, worth it. If you're trying to build a room system on the cheap, add some better sound to a kid or teens room, or do something along the whole house lines, this is really an economical buy that could partner well with some ceiling speakers and make listening better than that $40-50 bluetooth speaker you planned to buy. A ceiling 8" costs about the same as this sub, so two ceilings and this sub and that's about the price of two cheap bluetooth speakers, but would be an improvement. I should note, that I like wired here and didn't need a wireless application, so I can understand folks using the bluetooth for those purposes.
