So far so good
I received intuitive messages that I needed to start taking zinc along with my other supplements of probiotics, olive leaf, and vitamin c to battle massive dysbiosis I have been having in my lower systems for over 8 months. I've had resistant bacteria that is not responding to treatment, so I'm going the holistic route and using my intuition which is the only thing that really has helped me. Basically, I am building my immune system so it can fight off and balance everything out. There is a massive situation of people dealing with resistant bacteria and autoimmune issues and they are not realizing it's stemming from autoimmune stuff. When we give our bodies what it needs no matter what the label is about the autoimmune our bodies can do what it needs to do. I don't claim labels, but for years I had to treat what one would call Lyme Disease and other co-occurring disorders. I don't claim any of these things, however, I will take things that could assist these sort of symptoms. Another issue I have is whatever's been going on with the weather, it has been so erratic since December 2019 where I have had full on spring allergies straight through. I'm over 40, and I only get allergies in the spring, well, until December 2019. When my body is constantly bombarded with allergens that I'm allergic to and pollen floating around during times it's not supposed to and supposed to be frozen with snpw, my body gets so run down and constantly gets colds. But when I'm taking supplements like this it keeps me from getting them or knocks them out right away. I also noticed less allergies like my body is stronger to deal with everything. Anyway, I've been reading a lot of really amazing things on how zinc is used and a lot of it is not readily available. I also don't know if these are chewable or not but I chew them lol. No complaints here.

Zinc For Health
As we get older we need to think more about our health. Taking vitamins and supplements to support our health. Chelated zinc is said to be absorbed by the body better than regular zinc. As far as the efficacy of chelated zinc, you will need to consult your own doctor or nutritionist. Everyone's physiology is different so this may work for one person but not another. The pills are small and easy to swallow so there is no issue there. There is no taste as it is a pill, you just swallow it and not chewing. The bottle comes in a regular vitamin bottle and there is no tamper proof cap. Just twist on and off. The expiration date on the bottle is about two years away. The recommended daily zinc intake is about 40 mg, these are 30 mg so they are within the recommended guide lines. Do not exceed for than one tablet a day.

good value, USA made
This is a nice large supply of chelated zinc tablets. They are small white pills, not chalky, easy to take, no bad taste. They are 30 mg, and you only need to take one a day, so with 250 in the bottle that's about an 8-month supply. It's a good-size bottle that arrives about half full. This supplement is made with TRAACS chelated zinc bisglycinate from Albion Labs, which is supposed to be well-tolerated and better absorbed than other kinds of zinc, according to studies. If you're going to take a supplement, might as well take the most effective version of it. They are from Freeda Health, which is based in Brooklyn, and appear to be USA-made (the bottle doesn't say this specifically, but there is a little icon of the US with the flag on the bottle, so I'm assuming that's what that means). I always am wary of taking supplements that aren't USA-made, since you never know what other countries' regulations might be for manufacturing etc. These are also kosher and vegan, if that is something that is important to you. I feel good about this brand of zinc and am happy to add this supplement to my immunity-boosting arsenal, and it's also apparently supposed to help support skin and eye health.

Chelated zinc is the good stuff
When my usual zinc tablets became unavailable I decided to give these a try. These tablets are much smaller than my previous zinc tablets but these tablets are also a different composition. My previous tablets were zinc citrate. Nothing wrong with that but chelated minerals tend to be more bio-available (or so I’ve heard) and might be better in the long run as far as being absorbed and used by the body. These chelated zinc tablets are twice as expensive per tablet than my zinc citrate but if these tablets are possibly better absorbed then it’s probably a good deal. One bottle of 250 tablets is more than an 8-month supply at one tablet per day. They have no flavor, a barely perceptible odor if you practically stick your nose in the bottle and are very easy-to-swallow. The bottle is quite full and heavy for its size. These tiny tablets are pretty dense and compact and are about 1/3 the size of my previous zinc citrate tablets. I would order these tablets again.

Good quality supplement
This appears to be a very good quality supplement and I like that it is chelated zinc as the body can use chelated more readily than non chelated, what is usually in the cheap zinc supplements. It does seem a little pricey until you realize there are 250 tablets in the bottle. That is going to last a good while and for something that the body can actually utilize as opposed to just passing through, it makes you see it is a pretty good value. I like that it is totally vegan (important to me) and made in the US from a company that has been in existence since 1928, that tells me I can probably trust that is is exactly what it is supposed to be. I take zinc to boost my immunity and I know when I take the chelated zinc from Freeda that I will be taking a quality supplement.
