Simply Stunning
My 3rd Zeppelin and by far and away the best. Somehow, B & W have managed to improve the sound quality of an already superb speaker. It’s perfect for smaller spaces where a full blown high rack isn’t practical and the McLaren version looks amazing. Cheaper on Amazon by some distance when I bought it. Highly recommend!

Great speaker - if you know how to use it
So it’s an Alexa speaker that has Bluetooth and Airplay by Bowers and Wilkins. So they should be good. Right? What’s so complicated to use?The Zeppelin is a fantastic capable speaker with 5 speakers, two tweeters of the signature B&W units. Has a centre woofer and 2 speakers in between. It’s in the shape of the zeppelin so that it’s slightly spread out giving it a good sound stage. However, you still feel the sound stage is tightly packed and you want it to be more open. Bass is sufficient. Sound clarity is good and sounds rounded. Instrument clarity is also good. But I wish the sound stage felt slightly wider. Throw any song at it and it plays well. Let it be Jazz by Frank Sinatra, Pop by Taylor Swift, Bollywood, Classics like Fleetwood Mac, Electronic music - zeppelin handles very well. It’s an Allrounder. The speaker is also hi res capable having 24bit 96kHz capability as claimed in several websites. Songs coming out of the speaker sound amazing no doubt. But here’s where the complication begin. The open-ness of the software or its compatibility with streaming software.1. Supports Apple Music via AirPlay only.2. Songs can be played through the BW app and it’s not bad.3. BW app also says what quality of the song is being played and here’s where things get messy than complicated.4. Have an extended subscription of tidal. Anyway, songs have to be streamed through the app. One has no other option. It’s interesting to note that even if you have highest version of Tidal, for some odd reason it’s doesn’t go beyond CD quality (as displayed on the app)5. Gets connected to Alexa , Amazon music as well. Have a trial subscription of Amazon Music unlimited that provides hi res music. So if one issues commands through Alexa, the songs played are not hi res. Again this is a problem.6. Qobuz is a three month trial given by BW. And that’s the only thing that works at high res at the speaker’s full capability.7. Didn’t bother to try Spotify. As it doesn’t have hi res audio.8. Amazon Music can only be addressed through Alexa and not through the app.So if you are buying the zeppelin, set yourself back with the cost of the subscription of Qobuz each month in case you wish to listen to hi res music. Many have prime subscription these days , but that’s not going to cut out if hi res audio is what one wants.I tried talking to Amazon and they couldn’t figure out why hi res playback is unable. Alexa has no skill for tidal or Qobuz in the UK. So that’s another problem. So one needs to aware of all these problems before investing in the product. As a speaker it’s fantastic, but software connectivity pulls a star in the review backwards.

Sound quality is perfect
Perfect music especially classical .Connectivity vastly improved from previous model.Sleek look and easy to use, but you need to download the app. The app controls set-up and streaming .Bluetooth is also available as well as Alexa . Alexa was a little difficult to set up as it wasn’t clear from the app. However, I soon worked it out and Alexa is working perfectly.

Ugh.
I bought this and it's supposedly a Bluetooth speaker. Unfortunately it requires an app to set up. Without the app the Bluetooth speaker outputs no sound. You'll have to give them your personal data in order to use it. Perhaps you'd like to check the quick start guide they supply. No instructions and also a QR code telling you to use the app. Why do I need an app for a Bluetooth speaker. Will other people need an app for this speaker. It's the same problem as Sonos has. How are people supposed to use it if it comes without instructions? Does everyone download the app? This is a classic "ens***ified" that Cory Doctorow warned about. Avoid and buy something by Marshall or Jbl that just works out of the box.

Stylish wireless speaker
I was looking for replacement for my old zeppelin. The style and ease of use won me over. The speaker is not fussy, it works with different gadget without an issue.I use Spotify and I have the same account over few gadgets (laptop and 2 different phones). I don't have to repeat the same setup using Spotify Connect. The sound is soft and warm. And the LED makes the placement on the window sill looks better.

Great sound but……
Great sound but Alexa use very temperamental have to talk loudly to get it to respond and often plays music in another room on one of my other devices. This isn’t supposed to happen should always respond to the nearest device, I have to shut the doors on my kitchen lounge bedroom and the room this device is in to get it to respond properly. Very annoying.

Nice sound
The first thing that impresses me about this speaker is its surging bass performance. The volume, strength and dive experience of the low frequency are all excellent. What is even more commendable is that such a quality and quantitative bass performance does not affect the high quality of the mid-frequency and high-frequency. The biggest impression of the intermediate frequency is that it is clear and natural, the vocal performance is warm and listenable, and the details of the instrumental music are also very clear. The high-frequency extension is good, clear but not brittle, and there is almost no too-sharp noise. As for the adaptability of different styles of music, this new generation can also express it accurately and emotionally, and the sound is almost perfect.
