Works great and easy to install
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought this to install in my truck along with a new head unit with Apple Carplay. The head unit came with a pre attached usb cable and i wanted the install to look like it was from the factory by installing a flush mounted usb port. There was a perfect spot for it near the head unit and all it took was drilling a hole large enough to fit it through. The rest of the install was cake and it works great and looks amazing

Absolutely perfect fit in Nissan Xterra. No modifications to vehicle needed at all.
Absolutely perfect fit in Nissan Xterra factory hole in the dashboard above cigarette lighter. No mods required at all. Dust cap included is a nice touch. Looks very professional, works great! I couldn't be happier with this product!

Perfect fit, works for Apple CarPlay.
Worked perfect to add a usb port for the Apple CarPlay receiver I installed. CarPlay works as expected. You can see it here installed in my 2010 Mazda 5. Install was easy. I used a 6-32mm step bit to drill the hole in my dash. 30mm was the perfect size. At 28mm, it fits but doesn’t sit quite flush due to a small lip on the inside. At 30mm, it sits as flush as it can. Run the usb wire through the hole, and then screw the plastic nut on the back side to hold it in place. (Although it was perfectly snug in the 30mm hole, it probably would have worked fine even without the nut. I didn’t use the included dust cover. It works, but it makes the port sit less flush which I didn’t like. Since I installed on a vertical surface I wasn’t too worried about dust.

Actually, fits really well and seems sturdy
Installed in place of the cigarette lighter on my Isuzu Rodeo. I bought it to give me a nice clean way to connect my phone to my Pioneer radio and this worked really well. It comes with a couple of nuts and spacers which will accommodate various cigarette lighter holes. On my Isuzu, the cigarette lighter hole was actually smaller than this plug. I used my Dremel to open it up a bit so it'd slide in. Then I used the included nut and tightened it down. Easy. There's enough cord to reach the back of the radio and the cord is thick and durable. The whole thing feels well made. If you want to do something similar, give this a try. I'm happy with it. You might be too.

Good product for Android Auto
I tried to retain the factory port location in my 2013 Kia Optima using the UHK-1 adapter however it did not work reliably with Android Auto, and I know from reading reviews that the HYKIA adapter does not work with Android Auto either. So it looked like using the factory port location was not going to happen. Luckily the Kia has 2 cigarette lighters in the dash so I just removed one of them, enlarged the hole very slightly with a dremel (could be done with a file or even course sandpaper, it does not need enlarged very much). Then this screwed in. Cable length is perfect for reaching the back of the head unit. So far it is working reliably. Looks factory or close enough anyway. Great product, I am very tempted to buy another one to have as a spare in case they stop making them. The only improvement I can think of is if they offered one is just a slightly smaller size so that it was not necessary to enlarge the cigarette lighter hole.

Great little accessory ...
Great little accessory. Bought a new Pioneer radio to replace the OEM Head Unit in my 07 C6 Corvette. The new Pioneer has a USB port on the back & I used this kit to replace the cig lighter in the center console. Super easy to install & snug up - once it was all said & all done - looks completely factory stock - super impressed ...

Great replacement for car Cigar lighter
Cigarette lighter shorted out in my 2002 Escalade. Only knew about it because the OBD2 port shares a circuit with the cig lighter. No need for the lighter anyway so I yeeted that and filled the hole with this USB port. My stereo cable just kind of popped out from under the dash so this cleans up the look a lot. installed in less than five minutes. Easy peasy. The length of the cable would be long enough to route anywhere under the dash. Plastic appears rugged and will hold up over time. Owned this vehicle for 13 years and I’m kind of attached. It’s always nice to bring some modern tech into an old car.
