Awesome mouse.
It has been ~6 months since I purchased this mouse and love it. I initially had problems with short battery life and I don't know if anyone else has experienced this but... The short battery life seemed to be due to connecting the included USB C dongle to a USB C port. It could be a driver issue that kept waking up the mouse but I don't know. I saw other reviews complaining about the short battery life or in accurate advertised life. What I do know is that a USB C to A adapter made my problem disappear and now I go about 2 weeks without charging. My son didn't complain about the battery life but I moved him to the same adapter. I initially charged every 2-3 days as the mouse would die. I loved the mouse and didn't want to give up. My son and I both have this mouse but different colors. I'm right handed and he is left but both use the mouse with the right hand. No complaints from either of us. My son heavily games and I play casually. We play with different mouse sensitivities and no complaints on the low or high end of it. Pros -Light weight -Comfortable in my hand -Responsive -Customization in App Cons -Wish the app was straight to the point instead of a store. -USB C dongle caused short battery life (maybe?) I'd buy a third or fourth if the wife and daughter cared about having a good mouse.

love it!
i love this mouse. it slides nice, the RGB is bright, and it feels high-quality in my hand. the only issue i have is sometimes when i’m using wireless it will not connect back after it goes to sleep unless i switch it off and on again.

Great mouse!
I was coming from a Rival 3 and wanted to get a wireless one. I also wanted one that had a battery inside so I would not have to swap batteries and could just charge it from the mouse it self. This one fit that perfectly. And honestly, it feels way better than my Rival 3. The feel and sound of the click is amazing, feels much better than my rival 3. It is lighter and when using wirelessly, never have any connection issue. The fact that I can move the receiver closer to where my mouse is gonna be makes it so that it does not interfere with the signal (specially since my computer is far away from my desk compared to where my mouse is). One big downside I find, is that in order to have costume illumination/RGB settings, you must have the steelseries app running in the background. The settings do not get saved to the mouse. Having the app running in the background does not use many resources (after you turn off the game capture thing), but being force to have it running in order for it to not go to default RGB mode is annoying. I like to have my mouse all white and on the lowest setting just so I can see it at night. If I don't have the app running, it goes back to full RGB and its annoying. Not a deal breaker, but stupid that it has no onboard memory to save the illumination settings.

disconnecting issues, software problems,
Wow, I really wanted to like this mouse, now my current mouse which Im still using despite the issues, is the hyper x pulsfire haste V1. Ive had it for 4 years now and has been the best mouse, the problem Im having is that the scroll wheel started to act up so I took it apart cleaned it up still having scroll skipping. Fast Forward to this review: I used the Steel Series Aerox 3 wireless for only 2 days here's what happened. Setup was easy, but now the Steel series GG software to customize the mouse was god awful. I updated the mouse and the software but the software would not for what ever reason commit any changes, "the cpi" not DPI was horrible when changing and was not great, the actual movement made with the mouse felt clunky I dont know how to explain it but it was not smooth and not easy to just do simple browsing. It would stutter and stop working mid stroke, it would randomly have sudden burst of movement when doing slow movements. I played 5 hours of rainbow six siege with it and boy was the mouse just moving too much even messing with the cpi in the software. I had the mouse on complete default settings as well and just moving the mouse and then lifting the mouse off the desk to adjust for long moments it would forget where it was and just freak out and not be where you would expect the cursor should be. My hand was starting to hurt and cramp because it wouldnt move correctly. The actual mouse size and form was good it felt fine to hold. The software terrible still to this day. I disabled the CPI changing button to be disabled and IT NEVER KEPT IT. Even with those issues I was willing to dial the settings in later, but the main concern was the CONSTANT disconnecting no matter it being wireless or Bluetooth.

Quickly became my daily driver
I work remotely and play games in my off time, so I spend a lot of time using a mouse, obviously. I've had the Aerox 3 wireless in white for almost 4 months now, and it became my daily the first day I got it. I enjoy trying out different pc peripherals for my setup when I can, my mouse being the most common change, so I've actually tried quite a few gaming mice at this point. The search for a new mouse has all but stopped since I bought this one. It's not the holy grail or anything but it's everything I want and need in a mouse, gaming or otherwise. It's super super lightweight, slim and not too tall while not feeling like a mini version, and no crazy extra buttons just the two on the side which is all I need for my gaming. The holes/pattern are nice/not too rough as well, though not something I was looking for one way or the other. The sensor feels awesome in game, on par with any other top fps mouse out there, and I've had zero connectivity problems at all. The software (steelseries GG) for controlling rgb, changing dpi etc. is pretty good, no complaints (Some kind of software is essentially necessary for all the top "gaming" mice at this point anyway). I do turn the rgb fully off though so I can't exactly speak for that. The battery life is fantastic, probably better for me personally since I do turn off the rgb. I charge it about once a week and that's usually only when I see the battery bar go from 3/3 to 2/3, never had the battery die on me. USB-C cable to charge is also fantastic, enough said there. Scroll wheel has a nice rubber texture and good bumpy feel when scrolling, & it's easy to feel the individual bumps if you need to in game. I think that covers literally everything on this mouse (didn't say dpi button because it's deactivated on every mouse I own). I got this on sale for $70ish (I think), pretty sure it retails for $99, which is fine. If you want a budget mouse you'll get one. This is on the lower end of prices for the top wireless fps mice, which this mouse is one of. AND it comes in white, which is a deal breaker for me nowadays, I'd recommend this mouse to any gamer 10/10.

Wonderful little mouse
I was in the market for a new mouse and I happened to see this one. It was on sale and people said it was pretty good so I bought it on a whim. I'm so glad I did - this little mouse is powerful, comfortable, and lightweight! Here's a list of things I think will be useful to know: - When you lay your hand on it, it follows the natural curve your hand makes when relaxed. - There's a little texture that you can feel from the open holes of the mouse when you first place your hand on it, but it's not noticeable when you use it. - You can adjust a lot of the features with the SteelSeries GG desktop app such as mouse sensitivity, illumination, battery saving, and button configuration. You can also create custom configurations with ease. (You'll need the desktop app to update your mouse.) - You have three options of connecting the mouse: USB, bluetooth, and the dongle. - If I'm constantly moving the mouse (for example when I game), the battery lasts about a day and a half from my experience which isn't too bad. - As far as looks go, it's very handsome. You'd think the holes would make it look off, but it's actually pretty cool (unless you have trypophobia that is). The colors are vibrant and flow from one color to the other smoothly. It matches my laptop as though they were meant to be together. There you have it. I hope you consider getting this mouse if you're looking for a new one!

Decent wireless mouse, RGB turns off while in use, battery life is lacking
I purchased this mouse to replace the wired version of the same mouse. The product arrived quickly and packaged well for safe transport. There isn't much to these mice these days. The weight is extremely light. I typically prefer heavy mice that come with adjustable weights but they seem to be vanishing as technology evolves. This mouse feels very light and plasticky, basically it feels very cheap. The RGB is a nice feature but unfortunately in preservation of battery life it turns off the second it senses motion. This kind of defeats the purpose of RGB as I want it to shine brightly 24/7 non-stop. Once you stop moving the mouse it turns RGB on for a few seconds before "falling asleep". I don't see an adjustment to the auto-set "fall asleep" timer, but maybe I missed it. Currently the mouse seems to fall asleep extremely quickly, 5-10 seconds...so you basically can see RGB for 5-10 seconds after usage and before it falls asleep. I use this mouse with the included USB-C dongle. It is faster at waking up and reconnecting than the bluetooth connection. Battery life states "100 hours" which I think is a massive overstatement of a claim. I would say that with constant usage this mouse will last 10-14 hours. If I have a non-stop gaming session from 10am to 1am it will need recharging 100% of the time, even if I left it charging overnight. It will indicate the need to charge by changing to yellow, then to red. Charging seems to be quick, maybe an hour or so at most, but again, I leave it charging overnight. I would prefer if Steelseries utilized a heavier+powerful Samsung 18650 battery, or even TWO of them, this would make the mouse feel heavier (which I prefer), and provide a real two week long, non-stop usage, with brighter 100% on RGB LEDs, battery life. I would also be willing to pay a hefty premium for these style of mice to be made of solid metal, anodized aluminum ideally, rather than lightweight cheap plastic. For the mediocre performance and lack-luster RGB and questionable battery life, I would not recommend this to others as the value is simply not sufficient.
