Works great at a fraction of the OEM cost.
My 08 CRV power steering pump started to sound like marbles rattling around in a tin can. Honda OEM was over $800 and a Honda rebuilt was $450. I checked local parts stores but their reviews were less than stellar for $250+ for a rebuilt. I found this one on Amazon and found the reviews were mostly positive, with $80 being a great price for NEW. The Drivestar pump arrived the very next day. Hardest part of the installation was getting the serpentine belt off and loosening some rusty bolts that haven’t been touched in 14 years. Exact fit (I did have to reuse the original low pressure connector of the original pump) made the rest of the installation super easy. A little noisy at startup but it quieted right down once I topped off the fluid and got the air out of the system. Running quiet now and hopefully will give me reliable service until the new car market settles down and I can replace this trusty Honda.

Great product
I've have just installed it so cannot comment on quality. It however solved my power steering noise due to the pump was not working properly. After installation, it amazes me how light the steering wheel is. I flushed the power steering fluid but will flush it again to protect this pump. So far, it runs great.

Works great and the price was great too!
So one thing you will find out is that there are three price points on car parts. 1) Stealership (buying from dealer) which is 4-5 times what you should pay. 2) Autoparts places which is still 2x what you should pay. and 3) Amazon which I have found is usually 1/2 of the parts stores. If you can wait 2-3 days to get the parts, you get to save 1/2. If you need it that day then you must buy from the Stealership or local part stores. This power steering pump works absolutely perfectly and the price was 1/2 of autozone. I found some very good videos online that made swapping it out fairly easy. The only issue I had on this pump was that I actually had to use the outlet connector from my original pump because the angle of the connector on this pump was the wrong direction to work on the Honda CR-V. But other than that, it was a perfect fit and it works perfectly. If it does not hold up over time, then I will come back and update this review. I don't anticipate any issues with it. The hardest part of replacing was getting the drive belt back on. That has nothing to do with the pump, just letting you know that was the most difficult task of replacing this (required two people)

Quick to fail
At first glance this looks like a solid replacement for an OEM power steering pump. I installed it with no issues. Followed the instructions precisely with a rebuilt steering rack (NAPA), new high pressure hose (NAPA) and fresh Honda brand fluid. I bled the system and all. The pump ran loud and I figured it just needed to break in. Nope. It lasted less than two weeks before it completely failed. First I thought the car’s alignment was off because it would randomly want to pull to the left after a left turn. Then it didn’t want to steer easily going right. Turns out this was due to the rack pushing fluid out faster than it could get pumped in. It would only pump enough fluid when revved up. A couple days later the pump gave out completely and no more power steering. Returning the pump obviously, but man is it a pain to mount that serpentine belt over and over again. To heck with cheap Amazon pumps. I ended up rebuilding my old leaking OEM pump with a seal kit and it’s working fine now.

it works
This pump is noticeably noisier than the OEM, but it's something that I can live with, especially that it does not leak oil. I will update this review if it fails.

Perfect replacement for OEM
The original power steering pump on my daughter's 2005 Honda CR-V was chattering badly so I ordered this item. The pump was a perfect match for the OEM pump. I had to install the pulley from the old pump and reverse the low pressure inlet on the new one to align with the hose from the reservoir. Installation was simple and straightforward. I saved several hundred dollars by buying this item instead of OEM. I highly recommend this power steering pump.

Works perfect!
Since purchasing my 2010 CR-V, there was a whining noise that gradually intensified. I decided to replace the power steering pump as it was vibrating significantly. After the replacement, an issue arose where the system was pulling in air through the connection of the low-pressure hose. It turned out the o-ring was installed incorrectly. Once this was fixed, the noise completely disappeared, and there were no longer any vibrations in the steering. I recommend this product!

2010 CRV - LX, Part physically fit. Hose ...
2010 CRV - LX, Part physically fit. Hose connector was pointing, down, not up. Looking closer at picture it does show this. Amazon said it was a fit, I did not notice until both old and new were side by side. Rotating original hose connector is not an option. I used old hose fitting. New pump is noisy even though I performed multiple air purge attempts by rotating steering to extreme ends. For the price, I will leave it installed.
