As I moved it around, it first detected my Wi-Fi router, and then it beeped a lot near my indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi cameras. Finding offline or unpowered cameras is trickier, though. The camera finder is much smaller than the bug detector - about 3.5 inches long and 1 inch wide. I need to turn off the lights or darken the room to use it. By holding down the power button, it emits a red light, and I look through the optical filter. This part is tricky because I have to look directly into the camera lens, but when I do, I see a shiny light spot. I confirmed this by testing it on two cameras that were off, in a dark room. In real-life situations, though, I have to be patient and move slowly so I don’t miss any hidden cameras. To rule out false positives, I put my mobile devices on airplane mode and turn off devices that emit any kind of signal like a wireless printer, router, IoT devices, consoles etc. I find the bug detector easier to handle. I’ve learned that I have to move it slowly so I don’t miss faint signals, especially from GPS devices. I also go over the same spot twice with different sensitivity levels. Many GPS devices automatically shut off when a car is parked, but I can still detect them by setting the switch to magnetic mode. Again, I have to move slowly because some magnets are weak, and the bug detector will only pick them up when I hover closely above them. But when a GPS is on, it’s much easier to detect through its cell phone signal. That’s why I use mode II or 0 (silent mode) if I don’t want sound, and then I switch to magnetic detection, mode II, in the same area to find any spying devices. Lastly, I use the camera finder, but this requires some imagination to find hidden cameras, like a fake smoke alarm or a disguised book with a lens. The bug detector’s instructions have definitely made me wiser about how to better detect spying devices.

It was hard to find out to work the damn thing! If you’re not right up on the gps or camera it does not work. If the product was more self aware of how this product worked and did a better job at a distance to find the bug easier it would be good!

This seems to be a fairly all around product for checking your household and vehicle security. The only difficulty I had personally was learning the alerts where it was a legitimate alert or interference.

I tried scanning my vehicle for any hidden GPS tracker and the scanner is beeping on all metal. It is hard to determine the legitimacy of where the item that I’m really looking for.

This has two separate devices in the box. The small one is one that lets you see lenses. It lights up and has a better range and a larger finder than other detectors with a built in lens finder. Even during the day it’s possible to find lenses that are pretty far away. The sweeper allowed me to literally sweep so while my other detectors had allowed me to find any ‘issues’ prior to this purchase, I was able to find hidden sources as a sort of bonus security game to see how it would work. I’ve mentioned in reviews on other products that it’s simply not safe to travel or even visit without being alert to surroundings. There are a lot of creeps out there… I won’t get into it, just protect yourself and check for shower cameras, cover your cameras on your devices and sweep for bugs. This is takes a bit of a knack to use and it is larger than other devices so it’s got a few things that could be a easier but it works really well. The instructions could be a bit clearer, but it’s pretty simple to sort out. It works, so far no serious problems and it works to find things that COULD cause problems.

This is a new GPS tracker detector and anti-spy detector. I haven't used it in a hotel yet, but I tested it at home and its detection sensitivity is high, it is very easy to find hidden wireless cameras, which is very important for your privacy. Wasn’t working to find the gps training device . Could not locate

I’ve gave it a test for a week and found it works well! It detected a GPS tracker I borrowed and also a sound recording device, it blowed my mind! I am taking it with me to my next vacation so I’ll have a peace of mind. The instructions was a bit not clear first but once you figure out it’s all make sense.
