Seagate Expansion SSD, 1 TB, Portable External SSD, for PC and Mac (STJD1000400)

I bought this drive to replace a failed hdd drive for my photos. It's about the size of a credit card - maybe slightly bigger, but not by that much. It's fast and easy to use. I'm glad I selected the Seagate brand. I have another Seagate external drive and it's easily 10 years old and still works great so I decided to stick to that brand.

I like the size, weight, and portability of this hard drive. It starts out at very fast speeds, but then slows down a lot. Overall, it's substantially slower than my spinning portable hard drive. I assume the upside is that a solid-state drive is far more durable, with less risk of malfunction.

I bought this to store video game software. It works fine, but it needs a more comprehensive online user's guide. I had to ask my grandson for help setting it up (not kidding)!

Unlike other brand name drives, won't read on Windows 10 on my laptop.

Incredibly fast, and with no moving parts or spinning discs to wear out, it should also be incredibly reliable.

I use this almost everyday for school and work, the thing I like the most is its durability. I toss it in the backpack and go. I’ve had a ton of HDD and over time they corrupt usually within a year or two. This thing is stout and I love it.

Works according to specs.
