She's so pretty!
The plant came neatly packed in a box and wrapped. The only odd thing was the plant roots were put into a nursery pot with a little bit of soil, then the whole thing was wrapped with plastic wrap, and soil was placed on top of that..I wasn't really quite sure why they did that because it caused me to have to take all 3 plants out of the pot, remove the plastic wrap, and then ended up from there just repotting everything into the nicer pot they give you. That all being said, a lot of reviews here have said the roots come caged, however mine did not. The roots and plant all look very healthy and the only real issue with the plant itself is there is a crack in ONE leaf, not a big deal. The size is also really spot on, mine is just about a foot tall, and very lush. I'd say this is huge value considering how much you save on shipping alone (shipping plants isn't cheap but they've definitely figured out a way to do it well enough!) As this is a Chinese Evergreen, the germination rate is relatively slow for these. Overall great quality, and I'll be using Costa Farms again for sure.

Perfect plant!
Important!!! A year after getting this plant, it is gorgeous and thriving, but needed repotting. I was shocked to see each of the three stalks were planted in a tiny 2-inch nursery pot underneath the soil. The roots were completely intertwined and I had to cut the pots away as delicately as I could. I'm hoping the plant survives such a traumatic repotting, but I wish someone had told me to get those nursery pots out right away. It's possible my plant was an anomaly and those weren't supposed to be there, but definitely check! Otherwise, amazing plant and Costa Farms is an amazing company! The plant arrived in excellent condition and was full, healthy, and about 18" tall from the top of the soil to the tip of the tallest leaf. The soil was moist when it arrived and the plant continues to thrive. Before getting it, I really wasn't a plant person and I'm thankful for how easy this plant is to take care of. Even with its roots smashed into three tiny nursery pots, it is still healthy and growing. Highly recommend!

Please Read- Important Info
I was a little leery of ordering as one reviewer talks about cages and roots having to be cut. But I got one anyway. Arrived in perfect condition, packed extremely well for travels. I gave it a small drink and let it sit for an hour- as I always repot new plants the day I get them. As I took the plant out of the nursery pot, lo and behold- there were 3 hydro cages. I’ve never received a plant with these specific things- but it should be easy enough to remove It would have been simple IF the roots on 2 of the plants hadn’t grown into each others cage! Easy enough. Got my super sharp plant scissors and got to cutting the plastic cages. It did take me about 30 minutes to cut the 3 cages- and that might sound ridiculous- but if I’m spending $ on a plant- you can be sure I’ll be as gentle as I can to ensure it stays alive and healthy. In the process, I did cu 1 little root. 1! You can see by my photos- it’s not a big deal. I put all 4 plants into a pot with good soil and gave her a better drink. I’ll catching her over the next week to be sure it’s ok. IMPORTANT. There’s a lot of big plant farms (Costa is one of them) use grow cages because they grow SO MANY (thousands) plants, for sale. These cages make it easy for them to care for the plants, and not only is it easy to pack for shipping, but plants do well during shipping because of these cages. So if you buy a plants and get the cages- don’t get mad at a seller/nursery for doing their job and providing you with a great healthy plant! Honestly- I have NEVER seen a more HEALTHY, beautiful plant and the ROOTS ARE incredible! Thank you Costa Farms- I will be back!

Arrived in Perfect Condition
This plant arrived on a freezing day, but I put it inside about one minute after it was delivered. It was wrapped in paper inside a box, and it had a heating pad wrapped around the pot. The plant looks robust and healthy. It’s much better looking in real life than the online pictures suggest. It is about 15 inches high, and the foliage is thick and healthy, without any dry leaves or unusual spots that would cause concern. The soil was wet on the bottom and in the middle, and dry at the top. It needs to be repotted, but that should (and will) be done after the plant adjusts to my home’s environment, which will take two to four weeks. Right now it is in a mostly sunny area, and I mist it daily and water according to its needs. I will move the plant to a new location one or two weeks after repotting it. I expect this plant to thrive because it arrived in excellent condition. If you buy a plant online, or even locally, be patient with it and give it lots of TLC so it can adjust to your home. Shipping is traumatic to plants, and so is repotting and moving it to a different location in your home. I will update this review of the plant fails to thrive or survive. I appreciate this seller for its shipping practices and this beautiful, healthy plant.

Hmmm....Not a happy customer
When this plant came it was beautiful....on the outside. Once I let the plant acclimate I took off the cling wrap only to notice the roots were popping out of the pot. Oh well, I thought, I will just repot it as I love repotting plants. When I went to lift the plant out of the pot I noticed something hard against my hand. Swept a little of the moss away and saw it was a mesh pot used in hydropoincs for growing cuttings. Hmmm, that's weird, I thought. Must have been a mistake. Nope, it wasn't just one mesh pot. But 3 mesh pots in the container. One for each of the plants. I don't know about you, but I see a major problem with that. For one, the roots have grown thru the mesh pots and I will never be able to remove them without cutting the roots. Secondly, while the roots are healthy and large, cutting all of them as I will have to do to remove the mesh pots, could possibly put the plant in shock and kill it. As happy as I was when I received it and looked at its outer beauty, I am 10x's more disappointed in the undercarriage of the plant as this is the most crucial part that sustains its life.
