5 pc. FRINE Fret Polishing Kit with Fretboard Guards, Polish, Cloth (MN124)

For more than 30 years of off and on playing guitar and bass, never have I cleaned or polished my fretboard. But the kit is simply amazing, I do be live it cured my minor buzzing issues with the low E 5 fret or A. My CIJ Geddy Lee Jazz bass almost look brand new! Only issues I have, is that I own three electric and another bass to cleaned.

Very good for polishing frets. My bass arrived from a move with significant staining on the frets and I was able to get it looking like new with this product.

Had an old guitar I was trying to wake up, and got fret polish to clean up the frets. It was night and day, it just woke the frets up instantly. They were bright and clean right after this. The fret guards are a must. If I didn't have them, there'd be fret polish all over the fingerboard. They came in really handy. I didn't need much to work on the guitar with, they say "pea-sized" but I was using even less than that and it was working great. Not sure how many uses I'll get out of it, but I'd wager a guess that it'd be more than 10 times I could clean all the frets on my guitar.

This little kit comes with everything you need to polish up your frets to be shiny and smooth. It's as simple as covering the frets with the metal pieces, applying some of the included polishing material on the included rag and buffing up and down the fret while being careful not to rub against the fretboard. It shined up all my guitar's frets and they look and play wonderful now. Overall I would say that this kit is a little too expensive but it's still worth the asking price if only for the convenience of buying a single thing and having everything you need, about three dollars cheaper this would be a no brainer purchase. It is a little time consuming to polish the frets but it's like a twenty minute project to do well, not a huge time sink and the frets polish up quite quickly with the included product. The fret guards offer protection but are a bit flimsy and prone to slipping a little bit, just be careful while polishing and you should be fine.

I've neglected the frets on each of my guitars for 5+ years, have never cleaned or filed frets before. This stuff works wonders. Shiny, and smoothe to the touch for bends. Will update eventually.

Are you kidd'n me? Why is this stuff still such a secret? I bought this packaged kit thinking that I would get what I paid for. A cheap, one time used kit to help clean up the frets on a "pawnshop special" that I picked up at my fave mom & pop pawnshop. WOW! WAS I EVER SURPRISED! Not only did I get what I paid for, I was turned on to this MAGIC PAIST! It did such an awesome job on my "beater bass" (I'm a guitar player and just wanted a decent Ibanez bass to muck around on for track ideas) I used it on ALL of my guitars! WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Remember the feeling that you got the first time that you tried "Finger Ease" and the magic that you felt on the neck? Well my friend, this does the same thing (even better) on the frets! The strings just GLIDE when you do bends or vibrato's! (And they shine too!) Speaking of shine... I used a little on my old Grover gold machine heads to see if it took the "gunk" off... I need sunglasses to look at them now! If you haven't noticed, I'm thrilled with this product and as a musician with 30 of "gunk" and "bar grime" on my old guitars, I highly recommend it. Got this and used it on my new Seagull S6 1982 Collection acoustic. The frets felt a little gritty when playing, making it harder to do vibratos and bends than necessary. So I used this to give the frets a light polish and it made a big difference on most frets. It was also very easy to use, and saved a ton of time compared to taping. On a few of the dirtier frets, I needed to pull out some micro mesh, then finish the frets off with this. The frets slide like glass now. In the picture without strings, the first fret is polished and the others aren't. In the picture with strings, all frets are polished.

Have a beautiful Ibanez Prestige MIJ that I pulled out of the case after about 3 years and had a panic attack when I found the frets all rusted. None of my other guitars have ever had this problem after 20 years of collecting, but for some reason this was one did. Saw this product on YouTube and decided to give it a go. Well, my picture is worth a thousand words... The fretboard covers fit all my guitars perfectly, and I decided to also polish up my main guitar (Fender Strat) and now it glides like glass. Awesome product!
