If you use this battery, is there a warning screen with the following message: "cannot communicate with the battery pack"??

No, the camera starts up similar to how it does with the original battery pack. The "Time Remaining" indicator works and is accurate.

Does it work with my Canon Legria HFR68 ?

Don't know. It works flawlessly in my camera, a Canon Vixia HFR300.

Last 3 batteries 718 & 727 (x2) were not detected by the camera!

Make sure that you are putting the battery in so that the contacts are touching. If it is put with the wrong-side-up, the contacts don't meet, so it doesn't work.

Getting hfr600 camcorder with bp-718. bp-727 still works? does it matter?

Based on the list of compatible cameras being the same for both batteries, the BP-718 and -727 are interchangeable. The difference is that the -718 has less capacity (2100 mAh) than the -727 (3000 mAh). I have the -727 which gives me 200 min of recording time. Either is a big improvement over the 900 mAh battery that came stock with the battery.

Great Fit

Great product. Battery works like original. I bought a replacement battery a few years ago and even though it works well, the communication between the battery and the camera didn't work. These batteries communicate like the originals and last much longer.

Be careful and don’t plug the camera with battery in.

Great product we go more than one dozen for our 3 vixia. Be very careful to not plug the camera with a battery in. The battery will de-program and the camera will not be able to read the battery charge level. The battery still work however.

Will replace your factory battery with no drama.

I bought this battery as a backup to my Canon camera. It came quickly and charged promptly. It has about 1/2 hour more recording time than the factory battery. I am very happy with my purchase.
