This is a review of the Plaza Astoria Wall/Door-Mount Jewelry Armoire (White) I actually already purchased a black one awhile back for my wife and not only did my wife love it, my daughter did. While my daughter is only 8 years old, she has already acquired quite the mass of jewelry. This came nicely packaged and had no damage to it when it arrived. You can set this up very easily one of two ways. You can either use included metal hanging brackets to hand this on the back of a door which I did or you can use included hardware to screw this directly to the wall. A little more invasive, however, this is how I mounted my wife’s and it only took around 10 minutes by myself. For the price range, the quality is very nice. It is sturdy and looks modern. What I like about this the particular item is how it has so many different ways to store your jewelry as well as the quantity it can easily store. It certainly is a great way to empty out your piles of jewelry laying around and avoid tangles, missing pieces, etc. I have included pictures of the unit and how it fits behind a door. The mirror on the outside is also great as it goes hand in hand with putting on the jewelry inside. There is a magnet inside to hold the door closed. So when you open and close your door this on, you do not have to worry about the door coming open. (The items are also firmly secured inside and do not move based on the design of the interior.) Note – If you do not want to mount on the wall or on a door, search around as they make these with a floor stand as well so you can put wherever you want. Summary – My wife has told me numerous times how much she loved this and my daughter has told me she wanted one since I got my wife hers. Great gift idea and I am very happy with the price and quality of this product.

I was looking for a simple full length mirror that could hang over the door when I came across this. Our (newly moved into) house is VERY compact, so using an interior door for a mirror is absolutely the best idea, and my jewelry wasn't really all that easy to get to, hence I didn't wear very many pieces. I have never seen anything like this, so a place to store my jewelry and make it accessible is AWESOME!!! I saw some rave reviews about this and a few not so great reviews, so I decided to give it a chance after I checked out other retailers who sell the same (WalMart, etc) but only online, and the cost was a little more through them too. I chose the same color as in the photo--this is the same color as the interior doors of our house. And no, it's not real wood, but it is well-made and looks very nice. It also holds a TON of jewelry. I have bracelets, stud earrings, wire earrings, rings, and lots of necklaces of various lengths. I have found places to hold them all. It has little areas to hook earrings along small "shelves" and if they don't hook one way, you can hook them over the top of the "shelf". Even my big clunky bracelets fit in there--in the "pocket" areas, plus my tiny earrings and backers--all sitting in their little pockets. I can actually see all my jewelry at once--a first for me. The mirror itself hangs on 2 door hooks, which are painted well but are white--and this is the only negative-ish thing I have to say about the whole piece. I don't know what color would have been better, but my current door hooks are all silver. I can live with this. You put the door hooks on yourself with a phillips head screwdriver--5 min max. You can adjust the height at which it hangs a little-there are multiple holes drilled in the hooks so you can choose. I set mine to hang at it's lowest setting, I'm 5'6', and it's perfect. When you're hanging a lot of necklaces, and if they're chunky, they may get in the way of the door closing very well. I noticed this and saw where they were pushing up against the drawer areas, and moved the chunkiest around--and now it closes really well. It isn't all that heavy (I could lift the box it came in very easily) and the door opens and closes normally. It's narrow enough to have another door hook on each side of it for my robe, etc. This has turned out to be a great product for me--almost totally assembled, well-packed so it wasn't broken in shipment, very sturdy and well-thought out design. I am absolutely in love with it!

I have been looking at various mirrored jewelry storage armoires at different price ranges. The ones I really wanted were more expensive and just felt too expensive considering what I was using it for. Found this one that had fit the budget and looked nicely designed. Not really expecting great quality from the product, to my surprise it was very nice in my standards. In my husbands opinion it was built with good craftsmanship, not high end workmanship here. There are small staple/nails visible used for building the unit. I couldn't say the same for the interior lining and holders. They felt flimsy and cheap but hold my jewelry just fine and adequate. I chose to hang it on our closet door which we do not open/close often. I would suggest if hung on a door to do the same as to a door that will not be used too often; as someone may not knowingly swing it open damaging the mirror or making a mess of your jewelry. I cannot comment on wall installation but my husband says he felt like they should not be installed only to the drywall with adequate drywall anchors or into a stud based on weight with jewelry. Overall, Very happy with the purchase. Pros: Well built Mirror size is nice Holds a good amount of jewelry easy to install (door hung) Cons: Cheap/flimsy jewelry holder/lining inside mirror could be used for more storage real estate visible joinery staples/nails doesn't hold all my jewelry but then thats really just my problem :)

I am absolutely thrilled with this jewelry armoire! I purchased it in white. To address a couple complaints from other reviewers (packaging, staples, felt): It was packaged extremely well. I can't imagine how it could possibly receive any damage. It was in a box that was then heavily cushioned with foam, inside another box. Only on the outside of the frame, one in each corner, could I see very small staple marks. These are truly no big deal and shouldn't even be considered a factor for not purchasing. There are no staple marks whatsoever on the front facing frame that frames the mirror. Inside, there aren't any flaws in the felt whatsoever. It's perfect. This is a very large armoire for only $95 and it does not claim to keep all your silver perfect with a Silvercloth lined box, but it looks very nice. A genuine Silvercloth lined box is going to run at least $250. So, for the price, this is a beautiful product that can hold a TON of jewelry and I'll be recommending it to my friends and family. Other pros: At 48 inches in length it perfectly replaced the long mirror hanging in my closet. Installation was super easy. A paper guide, that you can tape to the wall, was included so you know exactly where to drill the holes to insert the wall screw anchors. It took me no more than 10 minutes for me to install this by myself. It is VERY sturdy. I am so excited to collect my jewelry that is laying all over the house and get it stored in one spot, in my closet, where it makes sense. I love the interior mirror and the multiple options for hanging earrings. Not all armoires can handle every type of earring. Whether you have hoops, hooks, clasps or posts, the design of the earring section and hold any type and you do not have to take the backs of your earrings off to make that happen. Love this product all the way around.

I can't say enough good things about this jewelry armoire. I got it in the cherry and it's absolutely beautiful, sturdy, and well made. The workmanship is exemplary. Even better, this has tons of well thought out places to hold a wide variety of jewelry. There are numerous hooks to hang different length necklaces - short, long, bulky, slender - it doesn't matter. If you have a lot of long drop earrings as I do, it's nice to be able to hang them and see them clearly. There are also sections for bracelets, rings, stud earrings, hoops, etc. Whatever type of jewelry you have, there is a place to accommodate it. It was also easy to set up- I hung it over a closet door in my bathroom. It also has a nice weight to it, so it doesn't shift or slide on the door. This is so well worth the money! I am getting rid of all the different jewelry boxes and the standing armoire that I have had for years, which are pretty useless now. It's nice to be able to open the armoire and to easily see all my jewelry. It makes coordinating my outfits fun and I am now wearing many more of the pieces I have because they aren't in a drawer, tangled up with other pieces, or underneath some other item because there wasn't a dedicated space for it. Did I mention that it's so worth the money?

Very nice product. Really, the reviews that are dinging it for things like nail holes and corner imperfections are being completely unrealistic in my opinion. More on that later. First.. packaging.. this unit was very well packaged, with secured spacer endcaps, foam end pieces to hold the spacers and an air space on all sides of the unit. Unless the delivery truck backs over the box, this unit is going to arrive undamaged. Second.. the interior is very well laid out with plenty of jewelry storage of all types, rings, earrings, necklaces, and even small trays for holding bracelets. Very well done. The jewelry contact surfaces are velvet finished, sprayed for the most part (which really does not matter for protecting your jewelry from scratches). The layout makes sense and works well from my perspective. Third... yeah.. it's pressed wood, with faux veneer finish, fitted and nailed together in all the key points normally applied for light weight low cost furniture. I personally purchased the white finish and it took me all of about 10 minutes with a small tube of white latex sealer to go around and fill all the nail holes, corner crevices, etc. Now it looks completely finished out and perfect finish even on close inspection. If you buy one of the wood tone ones, you can do the same with a simple matching wood putty/pencil. This is not a 1000 dollar heirloom quality piece of furniture.. so in my opinion... temper your expectations, and for 140 dollars, and a few minutes of detail work on your own.. you have something that looks great, works great and did not cost you heirloom prices either. Over all, a great product for the price.

ok here's the good, bad and ugly .Pros- This jewelry organizer hold a ton of jewelry! I mean a ton. I love the full length mirror, this unit solved 2 problem for me .needing full length mirror in my room and organizing my jewelry love that it has a lock, while its not fort Knox, it will do the job mirror seems to be good quality Cons It is made of questionable quality materials. The magnet broke within 3 days and now I HAVE to use the lock in order to keep the door close otherwise it remains partially open all the time. The door has already begun to warp. not sure it this is due to the weight of having jewelry in it, because it sat flush when it was empty. Its not like you can really tell when looking straight at it but from the sides you can tell there is a gap at the bottom and top of the door where it no longer meets the frame. I had to install a knob as it doesn't come with one in this design, just be aware if you don't you will always have to touch the frame to open it, which I believe will cause wear on the frame and paint over time(its like opening a kitchen cabinet with no hardware, doable just not ideal) Overall This is still a rather heavy piece at 45 lbs even though its partial board and such, so its sound. the quality is ok, but for the money you get more storage than other jewelry organizers in this price range. So yes I would buy again, just be ware of materials used.

I was a bit leery when I ordered, thinking from some of the feedback I would get broken glass, flimsy construction, door hanging open, etc....but when I actually got the product, (well protected for shipping), it was great, and in perfect shape. LOTS of space, I didnt find it to be flimsy at all, (bit heavy as a matter of fact, but not too...) good quality mirror, etc. I can see where someone might THINK where it was cheap construction due to its simplicity of frame, and maybe where the earrings go, however I found the material they used actually to be MORE functional for various sizes and weights of earrings than other similar products because of its flexibility, which didnt sacrifice strength. Further, I solved the issue of the surplus ring space and not enough for slides, etc. I used all the top slots for the actual rings, and then used small black paperclips slightly opened up, slid into the remaining ring slots, with the curve opening UP on the outside. Each paperclip will then firmly hold the slides, they are easily viewable and can be quickly taken on and off the paperclips, which being black do not show. I guess I watched too many 'MacGyver' episodes years back. :) And if you add in the fact you can either mount on a door OR the wall, this is a GREAT piece for the price. I am highly satisfied with my purchase. AND the door works just fine.
