**Q: Is this good guitar for a begginer?**
A: These are really excellent guitars!  I originally ordered the FS800 for a gift, but it turned out to be a bit small and exchanged it for the 840.  Really nice sound and came setup ready to go!

A: These guitars are made in China.

**Q: What type of music is FG 840 best for?**
A: Folk music, bluegrass, contemporary, country music, etc. I play a bunch if different music styles, as I play some classic rock. The guitar is great for strumming, flat picking and finger picking. It's a very versatile guitar and I absolutely love it. It's bright sounding, but since I've had it for almost 2 years the guitar has opened up more and sounds warmer. Great guitar

The FG840 features that same spruce top, but laminated flamed maple back and sides.
This guitar is a bit brighter tonally than the FG830.
