This works better than energy drinks. It gives me energy so quickly and helps me focus when I study. The taste isn’t that good but I got used to it.

I'm another person coming from previously using Military Energy Gum that seems to be no longer available on Amazon or directly from their site. I've been using MEG for over a decade or more. I don't know why but the last couple times i've tried to purchase they seemed out of stock or completely unavailable and this time there's no notice on the site about what is going on, so it's good to have a backup plan. MAAX caffeine gum is not the same, but it is a reasonable alternative at a similar price point. The ingredients and order of ingredients is nearly identical to MEG. The flavor is not quite the same but very close. I've only had a couple of pieces; I can't imagine the consistency is going to change in the 125 piece bag I purchased, and honestly I have to say this might be a good permanent replacement for MEG, especially if MAAX doesn't flake out and go out of stock like MEG has done multiple times for months at a time. PROS: + Gum is about the same size. + Gum is slightly softer than M.E.G. (and the hard candy shell isn't as crunchy when first chewed). + Gum is also less grainy than M.E.G and doesn't feel like it sticks to the teeth as much after chewing for a while. CONS: - Flavor isn't as spearminty as the spearmint M.E.G. right at first, but also seems like the flavor may last a bit longer. It's hard to tell. I figured I'd list it but it could also just be confirmation bias since i'm looking at a different package and trying to look for differences.

I have had all 3 flavors now and this is a great product. Used to buy MEG but unfortunately prices got raised and i had to find another. Compared to that the flavor is better, mints are closer to wrigly brand and the cinnamon kind of tastes like atomic fireball candy if you ever had it. Does not seem to hit as hard caffeine wise, feels more controlled. will be buying again for sure. My suggestion is to buy the cup or a sealable container to carry some with you if you don't want the big bag lugged around.

I've been a daily user of caffeine gum for over 15 years and this is the best brand to date. The consistency of the gum is much better than other brands (the military one) which string out and leave tiny chunks between your teeth. Taste wise it's very close to regular spearmint gum. Bitterness is very minimal and well hidden in the flavors. Remember, caffeine is naturally bitter so you should expect a little bitterness from any brand at this dosage

I've been buying this product for a couple years now and have never had a problem until recently. They have definitely changed the formula and this new formula doesn't give me as much energy as the old formula plus it gives me a crazy crash afterwards. It also only lasts like an hour or two as opposed to the old version that gave me energy for almost the whole work day. I even tested it out, because I still had leftovers from the last time I ordered and I can clearly feel a difference in energy levels. It also has a strong cinnamon taste which is odd because I ordered spearmint flavor. Overall I don't think I will be purchasing this product anymore, because I don't feel the same boost in energy I used to with the old formula

The caffeine level is good. The price isn't bad. The taste is... not great. The initial flavor is not the best but is something I could get used to, but then it gets bitter. It even mentions it on the bag that you should basically spit it out once it gets bitter. Or maybe they could fix the product so it doesn't taste bad?

I do a lot of long-haul flying and am diabetic; no redbull, and I'm not a coffee drinker. I chew the maax gum. I'm not convinced that it has the 125 mg of caffeine that is advertised, as I don't feel a significant effect that corresponds to that much caffeine, but I like the taste of the blue gum, and carry ample in my bag to get through fifteen days of flying, or more. It's not sticky for my teeth, which I like. The pieces are small, about the size of a chicklet, and the flavor is good. I've tried the cinnamon and the green (wintergreen?); the blue peppermint is my preference. I've offered it to others, who didn't seem to care for it. Keep away from kids. Use sparingly. I have a subscription, every two weeks. Works for me.

Since the caffeine in the gum is taken through the gums, it is incredibly effective and will wake me up within 3-5 minutes of chewing. However, its duration is shorter, roughly 45-60m if you fully chew the gum. It does get bitter after about 10 minutes of chewing, but just like coffee, you get used to it. Saved a ton buying these instead of energy drinks.

They definitely do work. I took it at like 6pm last night and I am right now awake at 1:33am. Bare in mind I had two, first thinking nothing is happening and then ending up with my usual caffeine hit behaviour. Which has now calmed down a little, my heart rate however didn't go up while resting, which is confusing but again CAFFINE probably isn't the thing that makes your heart rate go up in energy drinks. So it only makes sense.

They are not the best flavour wise, at least not to begin with. They have a mid flavour, and have mid after taste... but they are cheap, and really effective. Straight kick of caffeine. After about a year and a half of using them on the regular, I have gotten used to the taste - to the point where I actually enjoy it.

Works so quickly! I feel alert within 10 minutes, the taste can get bitter after 15 minutes, but otherwise fantastic product! A great, on-the-go alternative to energy drinks.
