I think it would depend of how long is your hair. For long hair I wound not recommend it because your hair could get tangled. It is really soft though.

Would a 10 year old girl with long hair be able to use this or would it be too big?

I think she would be ok.. it’s elastic around the edge. And you can twist it pretty tight once your hair is in the towel
