In order to fully answer your query, allow me to add expand a bit on the many options of supplementing with magnesium, and specifically with glycine (magnesium glycinate).

There are three forms of magnesium glycinate - buffered chelates, chelates and blends.

Chelates are the most gentle on the body, but the amount of elemental magnesium is the lowest. Notably, most do not require this level of gentleness, instead, they would see greater benefit from increased elemental magnesium.

Blends offer the most elemental magnesium of the three - but trades this for lower absorption, due to lower chelation and glycine content.

Buffered chelates, such as this formulation, offer a middle ground between the two extremes. This results in a product that will be suitable for as many people as possible, while striking a balance between total elemental magnesium and gentleness.

Why is the second most ingredient 'bulking agent'? What's the benefit to the consumer of bulking agent? Why not just maker smaller tabs?

Bulking agents are used among many other functions, to prevent ingredients from sticking to machinery in the manufacturing process. Manufacturing without these helpers is much more difficult. Some raw ingredients lend themselves to production without these agents, whereas others require them.

How many mg of magnesium am i getting? Do i count elemental or the total mg because isnt 1500mg too much? So took 1 and not sure if to increase?

Elemental magnesium is considered the more important factor in the context of supplementation. Each capsule contains 100mg of elemental magnesium. Our recommendation with this formulation is to start with two capsules daily, and increase to three capsules daily if required.

The EU NRV for elemental magnesium is 375mg per day. This should be from all sources including food. Consequently, your personal daily requirement will differ from others - as our diets and lifestyles are all different.

Notably, every human body is different and what is optimum for you may not be for someone else and vice-versa.
