UPDATED: Opt for the NO PUMP option, and purchase you’re own.
Update:It’s been a few months now, and this water heater still hasn’t let us down, in regards to my previous review regarding the pump, the company reached out and made it right- (their customer service is stellar) and I gave them other feedback on things that could be even better with this heater (as if it could get any better) I did a ton of research and always came back to this brand. The manual that comes with it is a useful tool, and should be read before operating as it is very useful as is the troubleshooting. Again, great customer service- amazing water heater. Camplux for the win. I so stupidly opted to purchase the 68,000btu option with the pump after reading many mediocre reviews. We set the new water heater up, everything worked great except it didn’t get hot or ignite. After going through the booklet it came with we decided to try a strong pump, which thankfully we had for something else. It worked! But that leaves me with a pump I paid $100 extra to get that was supposed to specifically work with this, when it doesn’t. Save yourself the money and buy a different pump. Water heater itself works great- pressure is great, gets very hot, and pumps a lot of water quick (just not with the pump it comes with) unfortunately, there’s no way to contact the company to just refund me for the pump. Lesson learned.

Meh
It's a great idea and it works pretty well. I honestly expected more as far as durability and and it wasn't long before it stopped working. I was 6 or 7 showers in and it stopped working. It won't light anymore. I've gone through it and everything seems to be In working order. New batteries, no gas issues, good water flow, safety features check, Yada. 😒🤷♂️

Great customer service
This is a really cool product. Works great. I had a slight issue with the unit, but their customer service team took care of it, and I’m a happy customer.

(Update) Good water heater. Bad water pump.
(Update, They sent me a whole new water heater and water pump. So far they are both working great. Use them almost everyday and all is going great. Thank you very much for the new item and for making things right. Even with sending me more than needed.) The water heater worked great right form the start. The water pump just didn't seem right from the first use. We did not use the water pump much because when i first bought it the weather was below freezing. Didn't want to chance ruining the pump. Weather is warm now and on the second use the pump stopped working. I would recommend the water heater but not the pump.

Almost indestructible.
This heater has spent the last 3 years tied to the side of a tree in the woods. The last two years without being used. Came out to my property, hit the switch on my well pump, and the heater kicked right on. Still on the original batteries. I'm sure it will eventually rust away, but I'm impressed it's still working now. The well water is 72F and does not make for comfortable showers. Note: I used the included pump when I first got it and it worked fine, but I ended up getting a well and connecting it to that with a garden hose.

Works Great, We Love It
It's hard to find quality items like this now a days, so believe me when I tell you that this is of excellent quality. We bought this as a temporary shower as we build our house down in SE Arizona. We use it to shower and to wash dishes. We couldn't be happier with this set up. You will need to provide your own "D" sized batteries as this unit doesn't come equipped with the, I use my Jackery to power the water pump which provides plenty of water pressure to get the job dome. The shower hear works great providing plenty of flow that would rival a regular shower head. The Heather it self is very efficient and can produce extremely hot water in seconds, Just be careful on the settings. I would highly recommend this heater combo

Don't waste your money.
I was so excited to get this set up and running. And it DID run great for a couple hours....then boom, it just shut off. I'm thinking maybe it over heated, left it and then a little later it started up again when I tried. Fast forward to this morning. Started right up, then quit. Every time I adjusted the water flow from minimum it shut off. So my plan is to send it back and find something made by a different company.

Not bad
Overall, we've really liked this water heater. I've tried 2 others to this point and this is by far the best. We purchased this in August 2024 and in May, we started having problems with the pump getting too hot. and when it was turned off when one person finished showering, it wouldn't come back on for the next person till it cooled down. I was unable to find the same 2.64 GPM pump, so we went with a smaller pump, and it's worked well. only problem is now that the summer heat is going, I can't seem to get the water cooler than about 117 degrees. which is much too hot for my taste. overall though we liked it. this is our main hot water source for showers and dishes.
