FANTASTIC!!! THE BEST!!!
I just had to write a review's for the Miele Care Collection Ultra White and Ultra Color POWER soaps/products. I start by saying that I am on City Water and have had both top and front load machines. I have used "Tide" for 30 years in both machines. I do believe that the new liquid detergents DO NOT work as well as the old powers use to. That being said I was fortunate enough to get advice from washer/dryer repairmen that encouraged me to invest in Speed Queen machines (They are a lot cheaper than front load moldy machines). I never dreamed a company still existed that made a wonderful sturdy machine like these. If you can imagine putting in a load of laundry and having it go through the entire process in about 35 minutes and being clean (just like the OLD Days)... Woo Hoo in my book!!! Now that I got that off my chest let move on to the detergent. I had been reading reviews on the Miele soaps but just kept holding off till finally breaking down and investing in the soaps. Another fantastic investment! Speed Queen machines fill to the top with water (the old fashion way) for both the wash and rinse cycles. (My water bill has gone down because I don't have to extra wash or rinse my items anymore just because the extra water on the rinse gets all the soaps out on the regular wash and rinse cycles!!!) Thank You Again Speed Queen! So now I was wondering how this new Miele soaps were going to work in my machines compared to the Miele small front load machines. Well worry no more! I've only done like 10 loads of laundry so far and what I found was to forget about the Miele scoop they provide and just use a regular measuring spoon. I have found that for my regular white cloths/towels I use 1 Tablespoon for a full load/tub of water. The whites came out so sharp/crisp white color that I haven't seen in years. For my queen size white bed sheets I used a heaping tablespoon of the Ultra White care and they came out so nice. I did not use any bleach in either one of these loads just the Miele Ultra White power soap. My husband is diabetic and his body/sweat gives the sheets a yellowish color that I was forever trying to bleach or OXY trying to keep the sheets white but not now. I really can't believe how fantastic these products are and how much time/water and energy I’m saving not to mention the cost of all the extra laundry help like bleach/Oxy and so on as well as not having to waste water on extra washes and rinses. The Ultra Color Power did an excellent job of bighting up the colors in my colored clothing/laundry. (The shirts that had white and colors in them came out fantastic like it brightened the colors as well as cleaning the white). You know how you really can't bleach some shirts but you need/want the color/white to brighten/chipper up and that is exactly what this product dose. Now I will say that I haven't use softie for the last 15 years but instead always put 1 cup of Heinz All Natural Distilled White Vinegar in every load of laundry at the same time I put the soap in. The Vinegar DOSE NOT smell after washed but everything comes out so soft and all the towels will absorb so much more and better then before. I tell you I am so sold on these Miele Laundry Soaps that I have told all my friends about them. It’s not often that you come across a product that works so well. Thank You Miele!!!

My Forever-Detergent
Isn't it awesome to pull clean, soft, fresh smelling clothes from the dryer? Get this detergent and you will, even with hard water. I have dated extensively within the laundry detergent community. Was monogamous with Charlie for several years until I ended up with stiff clothes (possibly my fault for not getting the hard water additive sooner - Charlie was awesome for a couple years). I was also exclusively with an Italian for a few years - Spuma D. - and it was sooooooo awesome - formulated for hard water and worked beautifully, although you would need to appreciate the fragrance, which I did, but you may not. But it became more and more difficult to find Spuma without making a U-Haul trip to a major shipping center on a coast and/or paying out the wazoo on shipping. Tried the much-lauded Sears detergent and not impressed. Tried making my own with hard water-mitigating additives and realized I could be making trips to Italy for Spuma for what I was spending to get specific chemicals shipped to my house (and why is citric acid so expensive?!). Anyway, I don't like the smell of Tide, however un-American that makes me, and once I got a good Samsung front loader, I realized liquid All wasn't rinsing and it wasn't just the top load machine failing, it was the All never leaving the fabrics regardless of machine. I also did some speed dating with Ariel with phosphates (can we just agree that the entire nation doing phosphate-d laundry is a drop in the pond compared to the industry and agricultural phosphate run-off? I want clean streams, but if we all use more resources trying to get clothes, dishes, and homes clean just because detergents have lost their primary effective ingredient, all while other industries dump even more phosphates, then what did we accomplish?). The Mexican Ariel merely coated my machine and made everything funky. I'm not sure it had enough or the right kind of phosphates and my Spanish for chemicals is rather poor. But Miele - this is the real deal. I promise you that. You don't have to use much - it lasts a long time. I smoked until a year or so ago, and the Miele was tremendous about getting the smoke odor out when I smoked and now that I haven't for some time, I have clothes that don't smell in the least of smoke. I wouldn't even mention that, but the last time I quit smoking it took forever to get the smoke odor from my clothes (used Surf back then, many years ago). American Persil produced the inexplicable vomit odor in my clothes, so I had an expensive breakup with it after stockpiling multiple bottles and using it successfully for a while. I still don't have a valid reason for why that odor happened, but it did and was no fun to discover or try to treat. The hard water versus clean laundry is an issue that can usually be mitigated with Euro-developed detergents (or more obviously, a water softener, which has not been practical for me). I did a metric tonne of research on detergents and hard water and found valid scientific research pointing to specific ingredients as well as user experiences which helped direct me to Miele. We've been happy together for several years. I don't use fabric softener because it does evil things to your fabrics, but more importantly, you don't need it with Miele, because it rinses clean in my front loader, which inherently leaves your clothes soft. If I want fragrance, I will add a Caldera dryer sheet instead (which also coats your fabrics, as anyone who has never been able to dry off with a fabric softened bath sheet will tell you). Also, I live in the desert and sweat like a mobster in church, so it's important that my laundry detergent gets allllllll the funk out, and Miele does, every time. My washer tends to like smaller loads (like the size of two standard pillows, stacked) and I use a half-scoop of detergent or if I worked in the yard in July, 3/4 of a scoop. In the winter, I have actually forgotten a washed load for up to five days and gone back to find it just fine; in summer, not so much. FYI - if you're coming from another detergent, run several empty loads with a descaler/salts to clean the old detergent residue from your machine. You may want to do this anyway (I do every two weeks or so), but if you switch detergents and fail to scrape the hidden scum from your machine, you will likely be disappointed. Use super hot water to do this, and if you have a top loader and have never cleaned it, be prepared to be horrified/fascinated/horrified. I will also be happy to recommend Miele products for washing your dishes. I purchased a Miele dishwasher and had good results with Cascade, but absolutely BRILLIANT results (I.e. no re-washing on that plate that had eggs over easy four days ago and never got rinsed) with Miele tabs, salt, and rinse aid. And yeah, the Miele rinse aid did better than Jet Dry, although I don't know why, but it earned the mark-up in price. Anyway, long live this formulation of Miele, and may they never, never change it!

Good quality.
Good quality, nice scent. It's concentrated, so plenty of washes available.

The Rolls Royce of detergents!
I love using this Miele detergent. As a person with sensitive skin, I used to purchase unscented bio-engineered detergents for people with sensitive skin or allergies. Unfortunately my skin had problems with those. Miele detergent in powder form works for me. It does have scent, and at first whiff in the box, it seems strong, but after a wash, it leaves clothes smelling lightly scented. I have scent allergies and do react to some things, but with this product, I do not have any reaction. I do use this in my Miele washer, but you can use this even if you do not have a Miele brand washer. This is a wonderful product. I purchase a box of Ultra color and a box of White so that I separate detergents based on my separation of color clothes vs white/light colored clothes. It might look expensive, but a little goes a long way! You do not need much to clean your clothes. I usually use less than what is recommended on each wash.

Great detergent but why now 50% more?
I have been very pleased with this detergent and have used it for approximately 15 years. I mean, it is truly amazing. It surprises me every time how clean and fresh my clothes come out, and it has no heavy scent. I have ordered it at least 20 times from Amazon and I typically pay around 30.00, but have paid 25.00. Now it is 45.00 a box. I cannot see why it has escalated to this price. Looking for another detergent with equal effectiveness.

When we bought our Miele machines 10 years ago, we started using their detergent and never looked back since. Well worth the price. No more lingering smells, harsh detergent, or skin irritation.

Works amazingly well and lasts for a good 6 months. I’m using a miele washer and have neutral water (not soft, not hard)

I have used this detergent in my Miele washing machine for15 years and I love it. It gets my clothes very clean every time. But here is the best secret of all! You only need to add 1 tbsp of this detergent for each load. So it turns out that this is the best value in laundry detergent ever! I highly recommend it. I use one detergent for coloured clothes and the other one specifically for light coloured clothing. The box looks expensive but mine can last for a year to a year and a half or more, using 1 tbsp a load and I do laundry nearly every day because I like everything to be spotless. I label the side of my box with the date I start it and that’s how I know how long it lasts.

Started using this detergent when I owned a Miele washing machine but since moving I don’t own it anymore but still use the detergent. I found that it cleans my clothes better than other products I’ve tried & leaves them smelling fresh & it doesn’t require very much for a large load.
