These have been so handy for all sorts of things, not just pickles and olives. Great for picking up food that was too hot to hold, but needed to be manipulated when cooking. Very durable and well made.

These are so handy, and I should have bought them years ago to round out my tong selection. My favorite feature is their size. They are not too small like another set of mini tongs I own. These are great for having people help themselves to veggies, olives, pickles, cheese, and more. Nice quality, do not seem flimsy or like you could bend by accident. Very pleased with purchase. I would recommend these for sure.

I've owned these tongs for over a year and I love them! I make a lot of vegetable and appetizer trays, so they have been extremely useful. They are the perfect serving utensils for olives, baby carrots, sliced red bell pepper, baby dill pickles, grapes, apple slices, pretzels, deli meats, cheeses, lil smokies, hamburgers and toppings like sliced tomatoes, pickles, sliced onion, lettuce etc. My mother even bought some after one of her visits because she liked them so much! One reviewer said they are too small for broccoli and that might be true, although I have used the utensil with the small tines to grab the stem or part of the floret. But I usually use slightly bigger tongs for foods like broccoli, cauliflower, and whole strawberries. Overall, I have used these small tongs countless times and they are still shiny and work perfectly. I am so happy with them!

These are the perfect size for buffet or appetizer use. They are sturdy enough to handle entree appetizers, such as buffalo wings or baby back ribs, yet small and decorative enough so they look like serving utensils and not cooking tools. They have a nice springy-ness to them that feels sturdy, and the brushed steel finish on them keeps fingerprints from showing. My half star deduction is based completely on personal taste rather than utility. I would have liked them to be styled more simply without the "cute" X&O cutouts. I will admit, I'm probably noticing the XO more seeing them side by side - - - when they're actually used and placed on platters scattered around a buffet table, it probably won't be noticed at all. I bought 2 sets of these, along with 2 sets of the vegetable servers (similar, but just about an inch longer) by this same maker and am very happy with all my purchases.

Great quality. As previously mentioned, these are pretty small. I try and put them with whatever we don't want people loading up on--the expensive food. It takes just enough time and effort to make people move on rather than shoveling food onto their plate while others wait and stare. When serving food for my family, we don't bother. Pickles, cheese, tomatoes...people just grab them with their hands and move on. When serving food for my in-laws, they are a must. Just the sight of someone putting their hands in a food dish in a buffet line at a family event is enough to make some of them gag (if not audibly). If we have something that needs bigger tongs we...ummm...use bigger tongs. Not a big deal.

These tongs are Excellent! We use these all the time. I purchased the 12 inch dripless that have the plastic ends that can be used with a lot of heat in nonstick pans. They are a perfect size, fold up nice and fit in a drawer. This purchase is my second pair. My older ones are still being used. The only problem after having them for over 15 years is the rubber on the grip has started to deteriorate. Everything else is as good as new, no rust and the spring and latch are still good. The ends of the tongs have taken a beating but have not budged. I thought, I need another pair and I wish they still made these but I am sure they don't. I was pleasantly surprised THEY DO still make them! It was get my wish day. We are happily a 2 tong family now.

Others warned about the size, but did I listen? No.... But they were free in the 4 for 3 price deal. But these tongs are not big enough to serve vegies. They would be great for deviled eggs, carrot sticks, or getting olives or pickles out of a jar. But not for my steamed broccoli. I could probably do one or two asparagus at a time. I have uploaded a picture with a piece of broccoli, so you can get an idea of scale. There is nothing wrong with these tongs. They are nicely made and have a nice appearance. But not good for serving vegies.

These Progressive 12" tongs were a big upgrade from my set of regular stainless steel tongs. The most important feature is the nylon tong heads, which don't scratch my anodized Circulon cookware. Even though anodized cookware is supposed to be scratch resistant, I found that my regular metal tongs still scratched it. The nylon tong heads grip food very well too. The built in tool rest is useful, as it prevents the tong heads from making a mess on the kitchen counter. The locking mechanism is simple and works. You pull the little circle end and the tongs lock together. Overall, it's everything I want in a set of tongs, and I highly recommend them.
