good to know your kids are safe
we picked this for the video calling function. now that we got it, the school zones, school modes, and location tracker have come in handy. set up was a little tricky but once you get past that, it's been a great find. her school friends are envious & now want one too!

Terrible product! Broke after one hour of use!
Where do I start?!! First when we charged it the watch kept saying it was overheating on the screen! All I was doing was charging it and yet somehow it's charging device was causing it to overheat. Next the set up process is difficult to follow and took forever. Once it was charged, I tried over and over to "pair" it with my phone. It never did! I followed the instructions and no matter what it never paired with my phone. The screen is hard to see and half the time it doesn't acknowledge you've even touched the screen. No side buttons, just touch screen and poor visibility. When we were outside we had to go under a shaded tree just to see the time and even then we had to shade it more with our hand. Finally, my 6 year old daughter wore it to do a 1.5mile run. The first and only time she ever wore it (not kidding)!!! She wore it for about one hour in total. When we got home I asked to see what her watch said on her step count and it said "no sim card" on the screen. I knew I put a sim card in and I paid to activate it with Jumpy (another awful product). We took the sim card out and it was water damaged. Shortly after the watch shut off and never came back on again. So we got one full hour out of this product! The best part is jumpy won't replace the sim card cause it's "water damaged" from my child sweating. It says it's "water resistant". She didn't submerge it in water, she was sweating from a run. So apparently sweat is all it takes to stop this product from working. Save your money people! Now I have to cancel the phone plan I got to go with this garbage so I'm still not done with this headache. $40 kids watches have better reviews than this $200 watch. Don't believe the hype!!

Recommended! Big watch, small price!
I'm very happy with this purchase! I was researching watches for my son, but with so many options out there, it was hard to decide. I pulled the trigger on this one because of it's reasonable device price as well as connectivity pricing. Connectivity plans through the included SIM option were offered monthly, semi-annually, or annually, with heavier discounts the longer the commitment. I was only looking for call, text and GPS features, but this watch comes with so much more! And again, for the price of something with less capability. We've only had the watch for a couple of weeks, but it's already saved our bacon when we, the parents, forgot to coordinate who was picking our son up from school! Instead of neither of us realizing what happened and leaving him on his own, he just called when no one showed up at the normal time. Worth it! Thanks Spacetalk!

Good software / Terrible hardware
Pros: Do not need the Spacetalk app to call or text phone. Which is great for grandparents as long as they are approved contacts established in the parent's app. Voice to text works well. Calls are clear. You can use any SIM card you already have activated on a monthly plan. GPS is accurate within about 50 yards.Cons: In order to use GPS and set up approved contacts, the Spacetalk app is a monthly subscription of $5 on top of your monthly phone minutes. The charger is a terrible design. The band pops open and off in multiple ways when you don't want it to. The watch has plastic connectors that go into the rubber watch band. Similar to older Fitbits. At day 28 of using this watch the plastic connector broke off. It's part of the watch body, so there's really no fixing it. It should not have broken as easily as it did as this is a item marketed for kids. They bumped their wrist on a door frame. When, I initially tried to return it this product page no longer existed. Amazon did a manual return. I did email the company and the only thing they seemed concerned with was the SIM card location showing damage. They agreed to replace because there was no damage to the SIM reader, but that was about 10 days after Amazon had resolved our return problem.
