Why is there two sets of wires? Is this so two or more can be connected together?

The red/black pare is the 12 volt dc connection and th green/white pare is switch that changes state when the shackle is in or out.

Anyone have simple wiring diagram? I get black is neg, and red pos, but I have 2 pigtails red/blk, what pigtail does what?

One pair activates the coil to open the lock. The other pair is for a switch to monitor the condition of the lock: open or closed. I'm just installing one of these door locks so I don't have experience monitoring the switch contacts, yet.

Is this ok for outdoor use?

Probably, but definitely not in any direct water.

1 set to power the solenoid. The 2nd to give feedback from an internal microswitch on whether it's locked or not.
