Good insurance to keep in car incase heater lines break.
2005 Suburban. The heater hose setup on GM vehicles is a fatal flaw. Have had lots of leaks and breaks on the heater hose connectors at the firewall. One plastic connector broke on the road and lost all coolant. Got that somewhat under control, but still minor loss of coolant somewhere. I bought this for insurance incase the system goes again and I am on the road and need to self rescue. Keep it in the car with tools to install. This allows you to bypass the heater coolant lines in the engine compartment so the vehicle can be driven. Obviously need to carry coolant, but do not put in screaming hot. Let cool first.

Excellent bypass hose
Used on 1998 LS1 transplanted into 1970 El Camino. No excessive kinks or bends. Great temporary fix until heater core is installed.
