The Wazinator Rocks!
This should be every acoustic guitar player's sidekick! I was disappointed with other drum-type accessories, but wanted to add some drive to the music. The Wazinator intrigued me and so I took the plunge. So glad I did. I use it weekly when I lead worship at church. The sound is rich and really does sound like a kick drum from a actual drumset. I also love that because it is a passive accessory, I don't have to worry about batteries or running power to it. It is easy to set up, use, and definitely worth the price!

Decent stomp box when EQ is adjusted right
Was a gift for my husband. He enjoyed using in from time to time. This stomp box usually needs a little EQ adjustment to sound good though.

Love this!
We are a musician family. Adds to the percussion/rhythm needs if we don’t have an actual drummer/drum set. Have run it through a big main stage sound system, fender passport system, and a small Fishman acoustic amp 👍👍 Recommend for acoustic sets!

Best if sitting to play
I play guitar standing up, this produced a sound when lifting my toe then another sound when tapping my toe. It was like a heart beat. This would probably be reduced if sitting and not placing weight entirely on the wood. The sound is not as good if you place your heel on the floor and tap edge. I emailed support asking for assistance in case I was missing something but never heard from them so I returned the unit. IMO this is not worth the money, the smaller wooden units likely produce a similar sound.

Works Great
Other than this being a bit on the expensive side, it works great. I'm still getting used to it, but compared to other solutions I've tried in the past this one is the best. I like that you can vary the amount of force on your tap and the sound can go from soft to loud, and that you can vary the sound by using EQ on the channel. I just need practice now to use it effectively.

So much feedback
I made a stomp box but ordered a professional one, the highest rated one, because mine had a lot of trouble with feedback. This fed back twice as bad as mine. Mine is a magnetic guitar pickup with a metal top that you stomp on. I think the only way to top that is to go to a digital box... which I think will sound better but may not be dynamic to your performance and from the reviews will wear out before long. Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

small, forgiving of your shoes, great sound!
My husband used a porchboard base for years - and saw one of these when we were traveling in australia. Both products are great - the best points of the wazinator over the porchboard base are size - works great under his keyboard - doesn't compete get in the way of his mic stand while he is playing on the keyboard is less sensitive to the shoe he is wearing. He gigs with both guitar and keyboard with it - and loves the different tones that are possible. Oh...and it's pretty easy to haul. ;) just need to put a handle on that case. ;)

This instrument It's AMAZING AND FUN! You can get many different "Bass kick" tones depending on what are you wearing on your feet (shoes, socks,no socks, toe, hill, hand!, hand fingers!, nuckles!,ETC...), which part of the wazinator you are stomping/hitting on....etc... I put a guitar Transparent Adhesive Acoustic Guitar on it because I don't want to scratch mine, hoping it will last forever! Hehe You can use one foot or both feet. I'M VERY HAPPY. GET ONE!

Guter Sound ganz ohne Strom!

As a solo performer I have tried a number of stomp boxes, both acoustic and electric. Some have sounded better than others but one thing they all have in common is that you have to chase them across the room as they attempt to get away from you. You can solve that by nailing them to the floor but then there is the other problem of foot angles that tire your foot out. The one day I saw an Aussie named 8 Ball Aitken playing live with the Wazinator. Not only was the tone great but he had so much freedom to move his foot around. Hit it with the whole foot, heel or toe... Didn't matter.. Your foot isn't stuck in one position all the time! So I bit the bullet and got myself a sound investment.. It is pricey but judging from the way 8 Ball used his, it's not gonna break and damn, it sounds good. Did I mention that? Only one sound but believe me you don't need any more. Stay away from 128 downloadable options and purple lights. Overated. But there is more! This is completely passive... No power needed.. So it's plug and play. Minor eq is all that's needed depending on your taste. It comes in a nice zip up bag to keep it safe but this is not an item that needs to be kept safe. It is designed to be attacked by crazed rockers. It stays where you put it and it sounds great. I consider this one of the best buys I've made along with my Martin, AER amp and a Neumann KMS105 mic. I will never sell it... Finally found what I'm looking for (unlike u2)! Get one as soon as you can.. For reals.

Came all the way from the states 1 week early. The item is exactly what I wanted, a percussion instrument that I can proper stamp on. It has a wonderful little range of bass drum sounds that can be tweaked with the PA and more importantly by how and where you stamp. It does not require batteries as in the description. I plug it straight into my acoustic PA and stamp away.
