Greetings, I’ve had this Lacidoll humidifier for over a year now, purchased Nov 2022, and it has performed flawlessly!! I have several guitars that I protect with this unit and it definitely does the trick. Dry air is horrible and this unit is a must have during the winter months not only for maintaining the humidity levels that the guitars need, but health-wise as well. I have ZERO static electricity when I keep the humidity levels at around 50%. My 3 cats love this as well because they don’t get shocked each time we give them some much needed petting! I have four acoustic guitars that hang out in my living room and when if I keep the humidity between 45 and 55% the guitars tend to hold their tuning much better than an overly dry or overly moist condition. (I have a large dehumidifier for the humid summer months as well). My overall winter comfort is wonderful! My nose doesn’t dry out and bleed, my throat doesn’t dry out. I haven’t caught any of the various sicknesses my coworkers have reported. The humidity level in my home environment is way more comfortable than my work and definitely better than the dry chilly outside air. This unit will hold an entire 5 Gallon water jug which I usually get filled for $2.30 from the reverse osmosis water dispenser at Walmart ( .46 Cents a gallon). You can use tap water but I wouldn’t recommend it. You will get mineral buildup within the unit and a white powdery residue on everything in the vicinity of the humidifier. RO water is perfect to prevent this. In the winter months and with humidity levels on this unit set at 50%, 5 gallons will last me about three to five days depending on the weather systems that roll through. Obviously those 5 gallons will last longer during humid days and shorter during very dry and cold days. When the unit runs out of water, it will shut off to protect the pump. Simply pour water in from the top of the unit (not in the tube), watch the view window so you don’t overfill it, and power it back on. It doesn’t maintain the previous settings so you’ll have to reset your humidity level, power settings (1, 2 or 3) and UV light each time. The two numbers on the left of the display will initially show the humidity level you are trying to set, then after two or three seconds show the actual humidity it’s detecting. The two numbers on the right are the ambient temperature in Celsius only. It doesn’t have the ability to switch between Celsius or Fahrenheit. I live in Northern Virginia and my house has 3500 sq ft with a finished basement, 1st and 2nd floor. The Lacidoll humidifier is located on the first floor near the highest traffic areas with a ceiling fan above it constantly set on low. The ceiling fan combined with air moving ability of my home heating/cooling system keeps the moist air distributed throughout the house pretty well. This keeps the humidity levels in the basement (usually cooler) within 5% of the first floor and with in 10-15% on the second floor. We have a small Home Medics humidifier that we use upstairs at night to help keep that 10-15% difference in check while we sleep. Cleaning the unit is super easy. I use the Lacidoll’s built in UV light constantly which kills any bacteria within the water. This allows me to go about 2-3 months before I need to break the unit down and give it a good cleaning with soap and water. With the RO water, I have very little scum and zero mineral deposits. It runs very quiet and cycles on and off as needed when it detects the humidity levels dropping a few percentage points below what I have it set at. If I set the humidity levels higher than 70%, it will work hard to get to that level as quick as possible. After a bit of time I will notice an increase in moisture on the floor around the unit. It’s not standing water, just cool and damp. Given enough time in these conditions bad things could happen to your floors or carpets so keep those humidity levels reasonable. This unit is fully capable of making a mess if set at the highest levels for extended periods of time. I’ll wrap this up with saying if I had ANYTHING bad to say about this unit, it would the few dollars it costs me to fill it up every few days. It’s a necessary cost in my opinion so I don’t mind it at all. I’m in my second winter season and I have four 5 gallon jugs I use. These four jugs last me about 6 weeks at a cost of just over $9 with tax to keep it running constantly. That works out to roughly $35 in water costs over a typical winter season. If you have your own RO unit, you’re set. The unit itself has been great, it does what it’s supposed to do. It’s well worth the money to protect my guitars and our overall health.

This is an unsponsored review. I purchased this humidifier and absolutely love it! The capacity is next level, which is something I have come to dislike about it. It requires such infrequent filling I often forget about it until it eventually runs out of water. The base holds 21 liters of water, so it takes a while to fill up. I use a hose under my sink that I have to water plants to fill it and even then it takes a 5 mins to fill up from empty. This is an ultrasonic humidifier so aerosolizes the water particles that then evaporate while flying through the air as a fine mist. These work great in warmer temperatures as well as in environments with low relative humidity, but as humidity rises you may notice some water reaching the floor. It is uncommon, but a sign to turn down the intensity of the humidifier. This unit has 3 settings and I keep mine exclusively on level 2. My unit had a small issue with the pump and Lacidoll support was amazing about getting it resolved. They went above and beyond with amazing communication. When the part that needed wasn't available they shipped a brand new unit. Great communication, great service, and generally a trustworthy bunch. I suspect a few paid reviews, which is why I labeled mine as non-sponsored/paid. I write a lot of reviews through the Amazon Vine program, but also write them for products I buy that I feel are deserving (both good and bad). In the case of Lacidoll they are good and I highly recommend this humidifier and their entire line.

I am a novice hobbyist, raising orchids. I do not have a greenhouse;so, I converted my bedroom which has only two small windows. Many products on the internet ( humidifiers, grow lights..) I have tried with mixed success. However, there is one product Lacidoll humidifer that is such a welcomed addition that I feel compelled to "spread the word" This humidifer has many unique features. My friends are always concerned with having a constant humidity throughout their garden. This is not a problem. The power cord is about 12 inches, and the humidifier is on wheels. It can easily be moved to a central spot. It has attachments where the mist is dispersed in 4 directions. as well as a pipe extension. All aspects of my garden are reached by the humidifer. The humidity level can be raised to 60 % in 15 minutes on the lowest setting. and maintained at this level for over 20 hours. But there is a BIGGER bonus . If I raise the mist level to high, my entire orchid area (6 feet by 10 feet) is covered by a blanket of mist. ( At a lowest setting,, a steady level of humidity is maintained.) This is the first humidifier that is powerful enough to intermittently "water" my orchids and gentle enough to provide a constant level of desired humidity. Before I needed 3 humidifiers for my garden. Now I only need one. ( It covers 1200 square feet). With the pipe extension, It also spews a stream about 4 feet in the air, .I believe that misting is essential to the growth of orchids ,especially my oncidiums. This mist is made of very fine droplets that the pores of the leaves are able to absorb . I constantly am evaluating the psuedobulbs of my oncidiums. I find that if they receive one -to-two misting in addition to their regular watering, they grow savagely. There is a heat wave in Virginia ,and the orchids can easily become dehydrated.. Constant attention to the humidity level is paramount. ( When they are misted, the humidity is increased by a few percent so I would suggest a fan. I want the leaves to be dry so fungal /bacterial infection is minimized. Orchid growers are in a dilemma. The orchids flourish with high humidity , but so do its pests. But the attachments give you a myriad of options. You can control the direction and the intensity of the misting by omitting the split or by changing its length.( There are two different lengths you can insert .) You can use the pipe extension or insert the slits to have a 2,3, or 4 directional approach. If the slit is removed, the stream is more forceful. Also you can shorten or lengthen the slit. In summary, you can determine the directions as well as the strength of the water stream. I raise a variety of orchids, but I have a fondness for oncidiums. A high humidity level is recommended; however, this predisposes to fungal infections. I prophylactically spray with a fungicide. Using the Lacidoll humidifier to maintain a constant level of humidity with occasional misting is the best balance for growth with minimal risk of fungal infection If you are a serious hobbyist, this is an ideal humidifier!! The price is very reasonable when you consider that this humidifier takes the place of 3 humidifiers ( which I formerly had). THIE LACIDOLL IS A 5+ STAR HUMIDIFIER!!! PICTURE 1 SHOWS THE PENETRATING MIST=HUMIDIFER IS ON THE HIGHEST LEVEL PICTURE 2 SHOWS THE HUMIDIFIER ON THE LOWEST SETTING
