Love neptunes harvest products for my garden. This stuff stinks but is tolerable. I mix it in the soil before planting my veggies in the spring and it does wonders to the soil to help feed my plants.

Plants liked it! And it's pretty on the soil. Hopefully nematodes don't like it.

This stuff stinks, but that's to be expected since it's crushed lobster anf crab. But it's easy to cover with a little soil, and you want this to be natural and not processed. I use it with my plants and it seems to help. I understand it keeps harmful nematodes away from plants. It's easy to spread, I mix it into my soil mix.

Great product it’s a great fertilizer for grow pot gardens

I could have gone to red lobster and had a meal to get chitin based shells from Lobster, crab or shrimp, but alas it was cheaper to come here. I bought 250mg of chitin suitable for chitinase activity from Sigma-Aldrich, but ohhh hey no information on how to solubilize the material, but lucky me it had a useless MSDS. Good thing it cost only 60 bucks for 250mg......WHHAAATTT. Then I found that I can make it by dissolving 20 grams of ground up shell in 150ml of 12N hydrochloric acid to break them down into colloidal chitin and then wash it with copious amounts of double distilled water a day later. Some people just want to watch the world burn, way to go Sigma-Aldrich. I need to make colloidal Chitin to test bacteria for the utilization by the enzyme chitinase. Chitin is a glucose derivative with an amine group in long chains (Beta 1-4). I Why not right? Chitin, Calcium and Magnesium in one shell, works for my needs. The longer I am in science, the more I realize the margins for chemical companies makes the food industry look like homeless people. Assuming I have a 75% loss of starting Chitin (100%=1814 grams), I still get 453 grams of colloidal chitin for the same dam price as 250mg. If I paid sigma-Aldrich, it would probably run (assuming 50% of the cost) 45,000 dollars. This would be akin to me making 100ml of DNA taq polymerase for 200 dollars in the lab versus if I bought it would cost 120 dollars for 100ul or about 120,000 dollars. The lesson here kids is...learn chemistry.

It didn't come in the container as shown and I don't like fishy smell and don't eat fish is why I gave lower stars. But the product is wonderful!! I've only used it on 2 plants and they are exploding in with flowers. A PW Rockin the Blues Salvia and PW Osteopurnum Red and Purple. It states not to get the roots in direct contact with it so be careful that. I used MG Performance, Espoma Biotone (don't skimp, I added about 4 full handfuls to 15gal fabric pot and about 2T in the plant hole before adding the flowers), Neps Harvest and wasn't expecting much but man am I and my bumble bees, butterflies (wish there were more :( ) and hummers are so happy. This is my first time using will need to add to the other fab pots because I didn't know how this would be. I found out about this on YT. There's a guy who swears by this stuff.

I have used this stuff for years. I also use massivegro green manures sludge It's very good stuff Service was very quick, etc.however be aware if you dig some into a pot, a cat or another animal is gonna smell it right away and they're gonna go digging in it so what do you wanna do is put like a quarter inch Metal screen, cough or something or make sure you fertilize with something else to disguise the smell
