The shutter release button is on point and everything works great. Unit feels very well built, I particularly like that the tripod mount hole is made with metal, solid insertion. The battery door is conveniently underneath and pulls out from the side so it's super convenient to switch them out if need be without having to dismount it. It's not just 5-star "for the price", it is a true 5 star.thanks from Chicago ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review for 1 and a half years of use *by S***V on October 24, 2020* We purchased this in March of 2019.It was used for weddings and had about half a dozen or so issues where the camera would report aftermarket batteries (despite the batteries being official canon batteries), and the camera would have to be restarted.In October of 2020, the major issues started: The grip was not providing enough power, and the camera would turn off, or not be able to actuate the shutter - even with full or nearly full batteries.
