The build quality is excellent, with solid, durable aluminum construction that feels premium and built to last. It distributes heat evenly, which results in a smooth, consistent smoke every time. The design is incredibly user-friendly, making it easy to manage the coals and adjust the heat without needing constant attention. It also eliminates the need for foil, which is a big convenience and makes the entire experience much cleaner and more efficient. It is great because it does reduce the charcoal mixing with the tobacco while using traditional aluminum foil. However, one small downside I’ve noticed is that tobacco occasionally sticks to the bottom of the device, especially when using certain blends or packing styles. While it’s not a deal-breaker, it does require some extra cleaning after a session. Overall, the Kaloud Lotus I Plus works exactly as it should and performs exceptionally well. overlaps most hookah bowls that come with the run of the mill hookahs so please consider it a must to invest in a hookah bowl from Khaloud, Hookah John, or other brands that make bowls ready for HMDS Also feels less secure than aluminum foil & actually less convenient since you just toss that after a session, Usually, you will have to rinse this product. These are the reasons I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5. Overall I get a lot more flavor out of my Hookah when using the heat management device. Also, I think I am more concerned about it sliding off the Hookah than I should be because it has little feet on it that catches before it slides too far. If you are considering purchasing this HMD I would check out some youtube vidoes first, This is Khalouds 1st generation, The other ones look cool but I prefer the look of this one, I feel this one is more function focused and the others are designed to look cool with their new Hookahs. I'm ok with the pricing as it is a luxury item & not actually necessary. If you are new to Hookah: Never use quick-light coals. If it's between this & a small coil stovetop to light coals, buy the stovetop first and come back to this later.

I purchased this for my boyfriend and I was nervous because the price (thinking it would be defective), there weren’t many reviews and it seems hard to find a good quality heat management system due all the “newer” styles they come in. This was EXACTLY what I was looking for! Exceptional Quality!
