Maiden Voyage

This is an excellent book for anyone wanting to get his or her feet wet in the realm of jazz improvisation. The chords are all spelled out, making it easy for a novice to stay on track.

What a handy book/CD package! A real favourite with jazz fans and players for decades, with very good reason. Great fun to play along with at any level. You won't be disappointed.

I bought this book because my jazz teacher recommened this book. It is really useful. I can practice with the CD

Great combination for learning the basics. Practice is enhanced with the solo notes printed below the songs. Good starting point.

CD was not included. It came with a link and I was able, even though I was mad,to download and unzip the zip file. Now I imagine I will copy the tracks toa thumb drive and plug it into a player or computer using the thumb drive.
