It is not removable but, if it bothers someone, they could probably color over the letters with a black Sharpie. **Q: Can this harness be used with a safety restraint in a car?** A: I would think the ring on the back/top of the harness would be best. If the dog got thrown around with the safety on the FRONT, I think it would end up turning the dog and not holding him secure. The part where they T out to connect the chest straps to the shoulder straps always wedges up in my girl's armpits, and no amount of adjusting can overcome the fact that they're just made for dogs that have shorter, broader chests than mine. I've gone so far as to make the neck straps on some of them so loose that the harness hangs off her like a cowl neck, and I still can't get the chest strap to stop riding up and digging into her armpits.Not so with this one.This harness fits like it was made for her. The proportions are perfect with no riding up even after a long walk, the straps are easy to adjust but hold tight where you set them, and the handle is a generous length that makes it both easy to grab and easy for cars to spot in the dark with the reflective stitching--almost like a little flag on my girl's back.
