No. It's a very similar fake and the scent is incredibly similar to actual sauvage elixir. I'm pretty sure it's elixir juice with fake bottle and box.

Doesn't need to be. At least I have had no issue. I've lived in the heat of San Diego and the winter of Missouri. Holds up just fine.
