Review: Outstanding for Scenario Analysis - I teach financial model simulation (see professordotbiz) and like to incorporate "modeling within a model" in my sims. For example, in Harvard MEGA, how do various Capital allocation strategies affect CAPEX and thus the whole value-cascade of FCF to ROCE with all it's interacting ratios? This cascade is what brought GE down (Capital Allocation, Giroux, (2022), McGraw Hill, p. 267). This book is worth its weight in gold. Forget the low review that has nothing to do with the book's content (does that drive you frazy too?) but with some unrelated digitsl delivery glitch!! Instead of pying $30,000 a month for Cube or Datarails, read this first and accomplish the sane thing with Excel pivot tables and plug-ins! Im making this required reading for both my students and CFO consulting clients! There are over a dozen other 5 stars at this writing, the information is up to date for 2024, and no other book, including $400 Springer modeling texts, are as practical or focused on scenario and sensitivity analysis. Both my bright HS students and postdocs find many useful tips as didactic and a reference tool. Im not compensated for any reviews, am not in vine, don't know the author or publisher, and buy my copies on desertcart. Highly recommended.
