Garnier Olia Ammonia-Free Brilliant Color Oil-Rich Permanent Hair Color, 8.0 Medium Blonde (2 Count) Blonde Hair Dye

I tried this product after my original product was hard to find in stores. (Used to use Feria) I like this quality much better. Leave my hair feeling silky rather that stripped & brittle. The color is beautiful. I have never colored my hair in a salon. This product works lovely.

so far this brand is one of my favorites to dye my hair at home. The prep is very easy. So far I had not issues.

I decided to dye my hair at home due to COVID-19. I had medium-light brown hair with medium blonde highlights from a partial foil that had grown out for 8 weeks due to hair salons being shut down. I ordered The Olia 8.0 medium blonde because I was hoping to get close to the color of my highlights and blend my roots with the highlights. After receiving the box and reading that Olia was not recommended to be used with highlights. Since I already had two boxes of the Olia 8.0 medium blonde I decided to test two strips of hair. I cut out a section of my highlighted hair and a section of my natural hair and dyed both. They looked good after I washed and dried them. The highlighted hair didn't change in color but my natural hair color lightened to a nice color so I decided to go for it. My husband helped me apply the hair dye according to the directions that night. After 30 minutes I washed it out and applied the conditioner. A little hair came out when I combed my hair but not too much. Once my hair dried, I was pretty happy with the result. My roots had lightened and blended much better with my highlights. I had hoped my natural hair would be a little lighter but it was pretty good. I didn't wash my hair the next day because I didn't want it to dry out too much. But the following day I washed my hair with blue shampoo and conditioner from Joico and after my hair dried, the overall color lightened more and everything blended even better. So I am really happy with the results so far. The color looks natural and is shiny in the sunlight so not just a flat color. If I continue to be happy with the results I think I will keep dying my hair at home since it saves a ton of money and it looks good. I might just do two tones like some reviewers suggested to get highlights and lowlights in the future.

This is a lovely color. My natural color is a mix of dish water blond and grey. This Medium Blond looks great! The conditioner is absolutely amazing. I have long curly hair that tangles horribly when I was it. This conditioner works like a miracle making my hair smooth and so easy to comb through. I wish they made the conditioner in a bottle.
