My husband ordered this for his best man as his main wedding gift (plus cuff links for himself, his best man & groomsmen to wear the day of the wedding). We were SO impressed with how it turned out that I know I’ll end up ordering another one for my husband in the future. The engraving is beautiful and flawless. It can also be used for so many types of alcohol, making it a good universal gift if you aren’t 100% sure what they’d want to use it for. Went over to the BMs apartment and he had it prominently displayed on the bar, which looked pretty badass...the wood barrel mixed in with the standard glassware, copper mule mugs, cocktail shaker & accessories, made for a more sophisticated and put together vibe without taking up as much counter space as I expected. Also felt really quality/sturdy and he reported no leaks as he aged some whisky for manhattans. The 1 or 2 L sizes are perfect in my opinion. Any bigger and you really have to be aging a LOT of alcohol that would be too much unless you’re trying to bottle it after making it. Overall, I 100% recommendation!

I love the old world look and wanted to display it in my home bar-man cave. You REALLY have to follow the instructions and take the necessary steps and time to cure it if you plan to use it as intended. Otherwise, it will almost certainly leak. Not the ideal scenario if you plan to use it for your good liquor ($$$$). If I have one complaint it is that the personalization (at least mine) is somewhat obscured by the spigot.

Well made. Very important... THICK WOOD!I bought one from other website and it’s thin walled. Evaporation big time.If you’re in the market to buy, always asked the wall thickness. Now, On my third round of double barreling my bourbon.

It didn’t look varnished or anything like the picture. It was just plain wood look. I added the picture to show what I got. I hired a craftsman to do the work. $40 more and the barrel is beautiful.

It leaked after curing it and it still is leaking today. So, tell me why anyone should buy your product with confidence? It stains when it leaks and it leaks constantly. Buy two if you are still going to buy. Because your going to need it.

I filled the cask with distilled water for the curing process. After one day the forward band by the spout popped off. It was lying on the floor when I woke up the next morning. It was not disturbed or touched. Im not sure what to do with it now. We loved the engraving and were looking forward to filling it this week.
