Great brushes
The brushes don’t shed and the small ones are great for detail. Very much worth the money.

Nice Brush Set
Nice set of watercolor brushes. Bristles are soft and supple.

8 of 9 Brushes Work Pretty Well!
These are good for the price. Definitely worth it. I'd be happier if the #8 brush, one of my favorite sizes, wasn't ruined from the start. As you can see, there are bristles standing out due to improper placement of the protective plastic brush protector. The brush tip is not as it should be and it is off centered.

Good Product
This was an experiment. I wanted to see how these brushes would work for watercolor and other painting. I was pleasantly surprised. They have held up extremely well... They also keep the point really well.

I’ve been using these for 2 years...
I bought these in 2019. I found my way back to this seller randomly while looking for new brushes, when I recognized these amongst their items. I saw a bad review & decided to stop what I was doing to collect a bunch of brushes to show you how they’ve held up. I had only just began painting in 2019 when I bought these. To say I’ve abused my brushes is an understatement. If I treated people the way I’ve treated these brushes theyd either be disabled dead or suffering from extreme ptsd. As you can see in the picture, that’s pretty much what happened to many different brands of brushes lol The white brushes to the left were the absolute worst!!!!! My habit of forgetting to take them out of water over night has led to the death of those brushes. The biggest most common most annoying problem I run into is the barrel flaking off into my paint. This unknown made in China brand was the worst with Jane Davenport brushes (the {used to be} teal ones) a close 2nd. The first couple all the way on the left are from another unknown made in China brand, every single one of them - & there were many - needed to be super glued so the head would remain on the barrel of the brush. The red ones are from this brand that I’m reviewing....you can clearly see 2 things; 1. They have not a single chip in them & they’re stained with dry paint so they’ve definitely been abused. Back to my analogy of brushes to humans; So white barrel brushes to the left, they’d be dead. Jane Davenport, disabled AF. The black, made in Chinese brand & these red ones are alive, still able bodied but probably suffer from ptsd & will probably never return to their natural fully functional state but if they receive tons of attention they may be able to blend back into society without a problem....but don’t feel too sorry for them cause they’re tough as 5h!t & can CLEARLY handle years w/a novice, who’s irresponsible with a tendency to be a repeat offender of paint brush neglect & of ridiculously long run on sentences 😉 The reason for the last 2 brushes being in the pic are to point out that I don’t understand why sellers list “acrylic AND watercolor” in the description for any one kind of paint brushes when each paint works so differently & each has different needs. These red ones are definitely NOT great for watercolor, the bristles are too thick/stiff. Bc I don’t know exactly how to articulate what makes a great watercolor brush besides having super soft flexible bristles, I figured I’d just toss 2 in the picture to just show you what I mean. Those soft flexible bristles soak up water just like long hair on humans does, which is great when working with water colors....these red brushes are the complete opposite so definitely do not buy them for watercolor or even gouache....these are acrylic all the way!! Hope this helps someone....☺️👍🏼

Disappointing
I'm a long-time artist but a newcomer to watercolors, so I had mixed feelings about what kind of brushes to start with. I had tons of brushes already but figured I should get watercolor brushes specifically, so they'd hold the water better, etc. These brushes looked decent and the price was right, since I wasn't sure if I'd stick with watercolors or not. They're nice looking and the bristles are extremely soft. Too soft for my taste as it turns out, but I think very soft bristles are generally a good attribute in watercolor brushes for most people. They're very easy to clean. The three largest brushes are nice, and the fourth largest is so-so. But the 5 smallest brushes are lousy, not one of them holds a point or taper, they all splay out no matter how nicely I taper them before drying. The result is double/triple lines instead of a fine line and random stray bristles that stick out. Additionally, one of the brushes is actually bent near the top of the handle. They're also extremely lightweight which might be good for some people, but I find that they fly around my art desk with one wrong move and roll around too easily when I paint outside. I will probably use the larger ones until I get a new set but I already ruined two pieces now by trying to use the smaller ones so those are useless. It's too bad, they looked nice in the listing. Live and learn.

Was a bit wary of buying this set - seemed too good to be true for the price. They’re superb though, perfect for watercolour AND for inking (if you paint in ink as I do). Even the much thinner smaller brush sizes hold on to a good amount of liquid, and if you’re good with your brush care, they will keep their shape and their snap (snap meaning the way they will “snap” back into shape with a bit water) as long as you clean them after use, reshape them a little with your fingers and then put the cap on to maintain their shape and stop them from getting damaged). They’re very nice to hold and have a nice sturdy feel. I do comic book art as a hobby at the moment and the thunder brushes really get my shadows and lineweight rendered in crisply. The amount of ink even the smaller brushes hold onto astounds me, especially for a synthetic brush. There’s a good feeling of control with these sets, and a nice length to the handle - they feel nice in the hand and I haven’t been tempted to go back to using my squirrel brushes since I got these. I haven’t had ANY shedding whatsoever from a single brush either. Surprising for such an affordable set. Usually you’d expect some bristles to shed by now but I’ve used them tens of times and not lost a single bristle. Honestly these perform outstandingly for the price - as long as you take good care of them they will last. I absolutely love these. You don’t need expensive professional grade brushes to make outstanding art and these prove it.

i only paint as an occasional hobby but these are perfect!! super easy to use! they come in pristine condition! the little covers on each brush tip is lovely! as long as you care for them they retain a good shape as any brush does. the size variety is lovely for all painting types. the brush tip is soft but sturdy enough to last! very functional and good for any hobby painter! the little care instructions is a cute touch too :)
