Q: Will this brush be safe to use on a ragdoll who doesn't have an undercoat?

Works really well on both our ragdoll cats. They seem to enjoy it more than the other wire brushes we purchased and it seems pick up more hair.

Q: Does it work on a husky

Yes, slicker brushes help a lot for deshedding fur such as husky’s that have a thick undercoat. Beware, even if your husky has thick fur, do not apply heavy pressure on his coat while using this brush. Regardless of the brand, slicker brushes will scratch and irritate your dog’s skin if it is used incorrectly and on the wrong type of fur.

Q: Does it work on Doberman dander?

Unfortunately not, a slicker brush is designed to be used on long fur/hair or undercoated dogs. If you were to use this brush on your Doberman, you would instead irritate his skin and even worsen the dander. Light short fur dog’s such as yours, a furminator or a dual brush are better options. The dual grooming brush is the best option and will capture all the dander off the fur. I also recommend to speak with your vet to see if they could prescribe a shampoo or spray that can help if your dog has excessive dander and avoid any itchiness or skin irritation.

Q: Could someone tell me what the button does when u press it..? Im confused on why

The bristles should stay out after pressing the button and to retract the bristles into the brush, simply press the button again. You do not need to keep pressing the button while brushing. If you need to hold onto the button the bristles should stay out then you have probably received a defective brush.
