I purchased these to use on an aluminum truck box believing that they were stainless steel as indicated by the title. Upon opening the package, they are clearly made from zinc plated steel that will cause galvanic corrosion when used against aluminum.

I used 2 of latches on my tool box I bolted on the back of my four wheeler. Works great it has never come undone even at 90 kph on rough gravel roads. Adds an extra layer of security no matter what tools and gear that is bouncing around in the box.
