Rage Fitness Olympic Bumper Plates – Rubber-Coated Weight Plates with Steel Insert for Strength Training & Home or Commercial Gyms (10–45 lb, Sold Individually)

Ordered two of the 45 lbs for deadlifting. I needed an inexpensive, oversized (both height and girth) set of bumpers that would be tall enough to stop my cast iron plates from making contact with the floor. These bumpers fit the bill perfectly. They are taller than my cast iron plates and can really handle the force of carrying all the impact when making contact with the ground. A deadlifting platform is ideal, but if you own a set of these, you can get away with using a horse stall mat, thus saving your floor from damage. Initial impressions are these bumpers are of high quality and seem very durable. They fit on my power barbells with no issues sliding on/off with ease. My only other experience with bumpers were of the Rogue variety. While those are nice, they are also more than double the cost of these. Compared to Rogue, these bumpers are definitely more stiff and I can't say I would be comfortable dropping them from overhead. But if your goal is to deadlift in a home gym while saving your flooring, these will work just as good as anything and costs significantly less. Happy lifting!

(Edit) A fair price now, for some reason between July 10 and 24th the 45lb plates jumped in price from $54.99 to over $75. I emailed Amazon to question the price but no reply yet. I've owned several sets of bumper plates during covid, taking what I can find a decent prices used and trading, etc... and I really like these Rage plates. I currently have a mix of a previous generation Rage plate and these new white logo. The new ones are more 'rubber like' with a matte finish where the older ones are little more plastic and smooth finish. Not a lot of bounce in either but the new ones land a little more dead. I don't do a lot of drops and use primarily for hex or barbell deadlifts. I Like the height they sit at compared to my steel plates and they look cool :). Price on Amazon is the best I've seen for a name brand bumper plate, even less than Rage's website, and I'll probably keep adding to the collection as more variety come available.

I’ve had the older rage bumper weights and these are definitely just as good as those. Great quality and performance.

It's a good size weight, but whatever it's made from gives off a bad order.

They have minor rubber smell like some reviews said. Its not horrible it seems to go away (maybe up close it has its rubber smell), but other wise these are extrmely acceptable based on price. They do not compare to Rogue or even Hulkfit but for the price not bad. I painted the pounds and name with a white paint marker to bring them out a bit.

I love these plates. I've purchased some directly from rage fitness, and some through Amazon, I received the exact same plates, all great quality plates. They are a little stiff, which I like because they aren't too bouncy when you drop them. I must say, they are very smelly when you first get them. It took a couple weeks to get rid of the strong smell. So far i'm super happy with them, I have the rage flat bench, plate tree, and barbell, all are great quality.

Purchased four 45lbs plates. Have dropped them on asphalt several times from overhead(I'm 6'6" tall) no damage present from a lot of abuse.

Pedi dos discos de 45lb negros como en la foto y me llego un disco de 45lb con letras verde y otro de 25lb totalmente verde y de otro estilo. Tuve que devolverlos, no lo recomiendo.
