The no-sugar added Familia Swiss Muesli is the very best of them all. Add berries, raisins, sliced bananas or whatever fruit you enjoy, mix in some yogurt & milk, not too much or it will get soupy. Leave it in the fridge overnight. Next morning add some milk if it is too think, stirr it and you are ready to enjoy a healthy & delicious Swiss breakfast ! I used to buy Familia Muesli at a local supermarket which discontinued this brand. I tried some other brands which I did not like as for some reason I didn’t digest well. When I saw Familia on Amazon I happily ordered of 6 of the 29oz boxes which is a good buy. Now I am fully enjoying my daily addition to my breakfasts again.

I had real Swiss muesli as a kid and looked for the same for some years. I have use this “no sugar’ product for decades since. As someone who rides over 2,000 cycling miles a year, this is my go-to carb breakfast. Oddly, after a week, you won’t miss the sugar. The only downside is that store bought granola will seem so overly sweet when you have it and you will have to make your own. Tips. The Swiss add apples and let the cereal soak overnight. I add raspberries and blueberries or strawberries the night before. If you prefer more texture, you can add milk the morning of. Price. Before deciding the product is too expensive, ensure you look at the weight! Compare that the price/weight of Cheerios and you may change your mind.

This cereal is wonderful if (1) you know how to prepare it before eating and (2) it's actually being sold for an affordable price on Amazon (fat chance): (1) To fully enjoy the cereal (and not feel like you're eating cardboard), you need to let it sit in milk (or yogurt, if you prefer) for a bit. As another reviewer suggested, try pouring yourself a bowl before jumping in the shower. By the time you're dressed and ready to go, your muesli will be ready to eat. (2) I originally purchased this item as a Subscribe & Save product with digital coupon. While it was a great buy at the time, the product cost has skyrocketed. Unless the price drops dramatically again, you should expect to find muesli cheaper in-store. Try Aldi, if you have one nearby. Three other thoughts: * If you're wondering whether the "No Added Sugar" variety is not sweet enough, I can affirm that there's no need to worry. The cereal is plenty sweet without forcing you into sugar shock. * I have never eaten another cereal that kept me so satiated for so long. Ounce for ounce, muesli is a good value if you can get it at a reasonable price. * Some people complain that the box is overloaded with oats in comparison to other ingredients (nuts, fruits, etc.). While I wouldn't go as far to say that the other ingredients are in sparse supply, the box isn't generous with the other ingredients either. I can therefore empathize with these unhappy customers and give me a reason to dock a star from the product.

I switched to Muesli from Oatmeal earlier this year. Muesli is more nutrient dense and varied, in my opinion. While more expensive, these large boxes do last quite a while and maintain their freshness. I'm very impressed with the cleanliness and quality of this cereal; it's not full of suspicious ingredients like many American "breakfast cereals."
