Not just aesthetics
Is there cheaper ram? Sure, but if your looking for power, speed, and badass aesthetics then look no further. This beautiful piece of hardware worked immediately, and was able to easily max the speed with my Ryzen 7 2700x cpu. There shouldn’t be to much if any decrease in performance if your team blue. The software used was ASUS aurora, and was recognized no problem, as of right now this is the only item with rgb in my build yet it’s bright enough to light up the whole interior. Lastly the aesthetics, 10/5 stars, it’s all metal head to toe with brushed silver and black it’ll match just about anything, and the g.skill logo isn’t an eyesore as the bright rgb block it out. It feels with nothing but quality and I’m sure you won’t regret it over a piece of plastic ram stick.

I try to use G.Skill RAM as much as possible.
I've had very good luck with G.Skill and when I built this latest system I went with it again. The board I installed it on recognized it and uses it to it's full potential even though it's not on the list of tested RAM. After some testing and heavy use the system is stable and working well.

Pretty colors
I just recently bought a second 16gb set to go with these and wow the cool lighting effects you can do with all of them is amazing. Also important though is they perform very well. As far as value goes I think they are worth it and yeah you can find 16gb kits just as good as these without rgb on sale for $65ish (thank God the ram premium is dead) but these are the best rgb ram kits out there imo.

Awesome (and beautiful) RAM Sticks
Just got a par of 8gb sticks today. They look sharp as hell through the tempered glass side of my PC. G.skill software is pretty straightforward. Love that there's 5 LEDs per stick and that each LED can be customized by itself. RAM functions as expected. G.Skill knocked it out of the park with these sticks -- looks and performance. I don't have any integrated with any other RBG lighting so I can't speak to that yet.

Almost 10 years of perfection
What's crazy is I bought this set of ram in 2017 for $160, now it's 2025 and sub $50 and I finally upgraded to 32gb of system memory and the XMP profiles work flawlessly with my Ryzen 1800x build. It was wonky when Ryzen first came out and things are smooth now with the new updates. I'll be saving up for a 5800x3D shortly and have the ultimate Frankenstein AM4 build lol 😂. ALSO my RAM is the only thing left from my original build, everything else failed on me over the years, ROG strix mobo, Cooler master AIO, SSD's corrupted etc. Never did I think my gskil ram would last almost 10 years, not even the RGB looks dated, it's been dancing different colors since the day I installed them. I'm definitely a gskill fanboy for life 🤞🏽

Extra boost
I've been using an identical set of this kit since 2019 and my usage finally caught up to 16gb capacity. I was happy to see what was a $100+ kit in 2019 is now nearly half that. The speed is good for DDR4 and the rgb lighting is fantastic. I love the value and quality of this ram; however, if you aren't expanding an existing set, I'd go with a 32 gb kit from the start. This also suffers from DDR5 being available. If you're building a new gaming pc, I wouldn't recommend this kit but the 32 gb version, and that's only if you're budget keeps you from getting a motherboard that doesn't support DDR5.

This ram is excellent. I have built computers since 1997 professionally. It seems some Ryzen combinations are picky about ram. For example, the older 350 series board are very picky about ram and will be unstable if you choose the wrong ram. 450 boards are also picky with ram. 570 boards are the least picky but they have chipset fans on them which was a deterrant for me, until the weird problems with Ryzen G series processors. Instead of making this a long winded "here's why I am right" I'm just going to say this... If you want a hastle free system, go online.. I only buy Asus motherboards... and go to support, and download the QVL document for the system you have. Each motherboard has different QVL. Find ram that matches the QVL. Be careful of 1 DIMM, vs 2 DIMMs, vs 4 DIMMs. For example.. I have a PRIME B350-PLUS with a Ryzen 2400G. I use the above ram in this system. It works PERFECTLY and the ram is on the QVL list. BUT, it's only stable with 2 sticks, not 4 ON THIS MOTHERBOARD. Every system is different. My main computer is a Ryzen 2700X with 64GB of Ram. The ram I used for my main system is 4 sticks of 2666 Ram that was on the QVL but also said it was tested with 4 DIMMs. Just because ram isn't on the QVL doesn't mean it won't work... but, chances are, there MAY be quirks and minor or large instabilities. I really like the quality of GSKill. I use a mixture of ram in my systems. Kingston for 20 years, Corsair for 5 years, and now GSkill is my go to ram. I have built thousands of systems and fixing them under warranty causes me to lose my markup on the system so I need QUALITY and GSkill is quality memory and to top it off... they have the most ram it seems on the QVL list. So, that's one of the other reasons our company switched to GSkill. They are on the QVL lists the most. But, to save yourself a headache... check out your motherboard... look for the ram you WANT in the QVL. The go and buy the ram. It will save you a headache. I built a few thousand Amd FX systems over the years and never worried about ram... but, the Ryzens seem to be more picky about ram. Save yourself the headache, and check the QVL. Also as a friendly tip, some motehrboards have different QVL's.. for example my B350 board has 2 QVL's.. PRIME-B350-PLUS_Memory_QVL and Memory-QVL-for-AMD-Ryzen-2000-Series-Processors If you have a Ryzen 2400G like I did... you would check the 2nd one. And notice the headings... There are 2 types of Ryzens in the 2000 Series Processors QVL.. Supported Speed with AMD Ryzen™ 2nd Generation Processors and Supported Speed with Ryzen™ with Radeon™ Vega Graphics Processors So, make sure you MATCH up the CPU you have with the motherboard you have... and you will see entries like... G.SKILLF4-3000C16D-16GTZR 2*8GB SS N/A 16-18-18-38 1.35 3000 3000 ● ● If you wanted 4 DIMMs you would find one that had 3 dots in that column. You'll figure it out. Just thought I would help someone.
