Other than that the instrument plays great, the case though is trash, too much movement for the instrument another repair bill waiting to happen. Going to invest in a better case and a better mouthpiece. Why not just buy something more expensive? Because my daughter bought it for me for Christmas. Even if I do buy another one not getting rid of this one, sentimental like that. Overall, a good choice, even online influencers that have tested the sax say the same thing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Surprisingly Good, Good value for the money with some upgrades *by S***. on February 8, 2024* I played sax when I was younger and wanted to play again for fun. I was really skeptical but for $250, it was a surprise. First thing - the mouthpiece is junk, the reeds that come with it are junk. Plan on spending about $30 on a new mouthpiece and a ligature for about $10 and some better reeds about $20. If you don't put the extra $60 or so into this sax, it will be miserable. Next, It may be a challenge to get it to tune properly. I was able to do it, but it takes a bit of skill. You may have to take it into a shop if you are not familiar with instruments. This runs about $100 I'm guessing, but you might be lucky and not need it. After that, the sax is much better to play and sounds better. Is it professional, no, but it's tone is surprising. So figure $250, plus maybe another $200 and you've got a soprano sax that is playable. In the scheme of things, you're into a new sax for under $500 that sounds good. Longevity ? Well will have to see. If you are a beginner, I'd suggest starting with an alto.
