I tried this 4 times before leaving a review. I like to color my level 7 hair to a platinum level and I hate using permanent dye to tone because it kills my scalp. So I thought would be the answer, but it’s not. I tried it with 3 different powder bleach brands and with every single one they came out so chunky in texture. This stuff will not mix down into a smooth mixture no matter how much you stir it. It became a lumpy and chunky thick mess every time where I had to break the small gritty chunks down by using a stiff application brush against the sides of the bowl just to get it to a smooth consistency where it wouldn’t mess up the application. It works the same as other brand developers when it comes to color lifting, so that difference isn’t noticeable at all. It just made such a gritty mess each time that the rest of the bottle is going in the trash. I can’t count on it for consistency and there is zero ease of use. Just a heads up before you invest.

I had red brown hair and I used this developer with its corresponding charcoal bleach product and it lightened my hair exactly how I wanted it! The bleach comes with its own shampoo and serum to add some moisture back in your hair. But the bleach didn’t seem to really strip or damage my hair anyway. I’d use again!
