Most toddler mattress have a plastic coating although convenient for a potty training toddler I can only imagine how uncomfortably cold it is sleeping on one in winter. Although I use an organic cotton fltted sheet it seemed like my little one just wasn't comfortable and after reading so many reviews it seems like it's a common problem with toddler beds so I wanted to find a more comfortable solution. I love and appreciate that this cover is 100% cotton. It provides a great amount of padding, it's soft, not thin and has some good weight. My son seems to be sleeping better now. I do believe it helps to keep the bed warmer. He doesn't sleep directly on the pad, I do use a fitted sheet over and it fits well. I washed it before use on gentle and I let it air dry.

Thicker than the polyester options in the stores, including other Sealy products. Nice and soft, very comfortable feel, good quality. Very satisfied.

The idea of using a mattress protector with layers of plastic made me uncomfortable, so I'm glad I found this. It is a bit pricey, but I felt like it was worth it for the peace of mind it gives me. Very snug fit, but not terribly difficult to put on the mattress. Kiddo isn't here yet, so I don't know how well it will work, but it's very soft, cozy, and thick, so I have confidence it will do the job. Washed easy and dried over night on our drying rack.

These Mattress pads are just great for babies cribs and toddler beds. They just add a layer of cushion that is comfortable and keeps their skin away from the plastic on the mattresses.

I searched far and wide for a crib mattress pad that doesn't have a vinyl backing. I have a waterproof naturpedic mattress so i don't necesarily need a waterproof pad. This one is really soft and thick so I think it would do a good job of absorbing any spills anyways. Have not used this yet since the little one hasn't yet arrived but I did wash it, it held up but i do notice a small tear in one of the seams on the side. That's why i gave it 4 starts instead of 5. But it's still worth it to me to not have the vinyl and plastic backing even if I have to replace it eventually. It did not shrink in the dryer and fits the mattress pretty well..I will probably order another soon

Absolutely love this. So sort. We have a waterproof mattress but it's extremely firm. My baby sleeps so much better with this added!!

I searched high and low for a mattress pad that did not contain any plastics or waterproof treatment. I do NOT want my babies to breathe chemicals all night while they sleep. And frankly, since every crib mattress is covered in plastic, what is the point of a waterproof pad anyway? We have gone to great lengths here to keep all of these chemicals away from our babies including a special cover for the mattress (to keep off-gasses away) and a wonderful, thick wool topper, which is what I wanted to cover. We just slip some wool puddle-pads in between the topper and the mattress pad to keep the topper from getting wet and everything is fine. I highly recommend this product over ANY waterproof pad out there.

Nice quality, but too small. I washed it prior to first use and it was small. I washed it again later, it is smaller now.

Disappointed. Plastic package of the pad came crushed and dirty and pad was bundled up in package. Makes one wonder if the product was previously opened and sent back.
