I am not one to write a lot of reviews but definitely wanted to leave one for this to help other's decide if they want to purchase for themselves for one big reason. The "auto off/on" feature. But first, one of the main things everyone wants to know, "Is it loud?" Well that is always a subjective question and will depend on your gaming setup. I have my system setup with a surround sound so it is typically louder than your average TV speakers. While the fan does have two speeds to allow you to choose how much air you want it to move to keep your system cool that will obviously affect the sound coming from the unit. I found that the low speed will be decent enough for most situations and isn't much louder than the a computer fan. The high setting sounds about twice as loud much like a computer on the verge of overheating. I found on either setting I really only noticed it when the system was starting up due to the lack of sound coming from the system, but then completely forgot about it once the game started. If you're in a quiet room, or wearing headphones, it will be noticeable, but hopefully not annoying for you. I also did not experience any weird noises as found in some of the other reviews. Now for the "auto off/on" and the one reason I almost returned the product. The fan uses the power from the USB port on the PS5 and will only shut off if you completely turn off your PS5. If you are like me and put yours into Rest mode to allow updates and remote game installs this would normally mean that it will keep running all the time. This was not something I wanted to have happen for fear of ruining either device or wasting power, and did not want to have to manually turn off/on the fan every time either. I did find a bit of a work around that may work for others and is why I decided to leave this review. If you didn't already know you can change the USB power Settings to turn off while it is in Rest mode. Updating to off will make the fan turn completely off while you are not actively using the unit. Now the draw back is if you are using any of the USB ports to charge devices they will no longer continue to charge while in Rest mode. This was not an issue for me as I have the PlayStation controller charger and plugged my Pulse 3D headset into a different outlet. One thing to be aware of with this workaround is that for some reason the fan will shut off, come back on, and then shut off completely after putting the PS5 into Rest mode. Not exactly sure why it does this but I am sure it is due to something in how the PS5 cycles the shut down. Hopefully you find this review useful in making your decision!

I got the KIWIHOME Cooling Fan for my PS5, and it works really well! It’s quiet, so I can play for hours without being distracted by noise, and the airflow is strong enough to keep my console cool even during intense gaming sessions. It’s easy to attach and fits perfectly on the PS5 without blocking any ports. The build quality feels solid, and it doesn’t wobble or shift while the console is running. My PS5 stays much cooler now, and I’ve noticed it runs smoother during long sessions. Definitely worth getting if you want to protect your console and improve performance!

Fits nicely to the console. I'm currently using the auto fan on this and it works great for cooling the console. Didn't realize till I got in in mail but has a USB port next to the mode switch. It's convenient for needing the USB port still. No noise and little to no vibration while running

The fan assembly installed easily enough. My PS5 is in a TV unit that is somewhat air flow constrained but I have to room for the PS5 on the shelf with the T.V. I leave the front of the cabinet open while using the PS5, but regardless, I felt adding a little extra air flow was worth it. I'm playing Horizon Forbidden West so I could hear/feel the internal cooling working when playing the game before I bought this unit. After adding it, it seems to reduce the amount of RPMs the internal cooling runs on demanding games. The PS5, like all modern computing systems will have its own thermal protection so for the most part this isn't so much about preventing your chips from frying, but from the PS5 throttling down the performance to stay cool. So in that regard, this unit might help those who can only put their PS5 in less than ideally ventilated situations. On high speed, the fans are noisy. On low speed they are much quieter and not noticeable over modest game audio volume from 4-6 ft away. The LEDs are not noticeable when the console faces you. In rest mode the fans are off. The unit is held in place by one of the the rear USB ports ad a flexible plastic clip that clips into the anti-theft cable lock hole on the back panel. We'll see how long it lasts, but if it spares some cycles on the PS5 internal cooling fan, maybe it's worth it. When I hold my hand above the PS5 before and after adding this unit, I feel less heat dissipation rising from the PS5 so seems to be helping.

Keeps my ps5 noticeably cooler, works perfect. Quality is great. Noise is barely noticeable if at all. Definitely recommend. Great quality for the price.

Works Great and helps keep the system cool!

I've had some problems with my PlayStation 5 overheating for awhile now. Long story short I cleaned the interior fan and that helped but it wasn't quite enough so I ended up buying this Cooling Fan to help alleviate that access heat. And what do you know it works wonders. First off I really like that it has the same white aesthetic as my PS5. It also has some pretty cool Blue LED lights that you can have on manually or automatically which I think is cool. The cooling fan was very easy to install All you have to do is have a USB port available on the back of your console. And if you were using that USB port for something else don't worry the cooling fan has one on the back that can be used if needed just think of it as an adapter sort of. I myself use that port for a charger. It is not too bulky and is very sleek looking in my opinion. All in all I would recommend this Cooling Fan if you have a first gen PlayStation 5 just like me the fan speed is pretty good and it has a light and durable frame so it not to in your way

This improved my heat problem significantly, but the PS5 still overheats and crashes on occasion. The room temp is 75-80 degrees here in Puerto Rico.

Absolutely love it. It dosent show too much and is really easy to take off and put on. But main thing is the cooling. It works well! Great product

What an amazing fan. Blows air the correct direction (outwards) and is quiet in setting-1 and slightly more audible in settin-2 (if you are a headphone user, this is basically inaudible of course. and if you use speakers, its still barely audible over the actual game sound. it turns on/off when u turn the console on/off. Something no one mentioned but i wanted the answer to so im guessing otehrs do too: It stays on if you have rest mode turned on and the setting that allows controllers to continue charging (essentially means power to the USB's will stay on, which in turn keeps the fan on too which is unnecessary but meh there ya have it.) As for the cooling, the actualk HEAT that feels like hellfire and lava is usually at the point where the power cable is, that exhaust there pretty much melts the hdmi cable (not literally, calm down). But with THIS fan. even THOUGH the clips and fitting etc are at the upper section/exhausts, it **STILL** keeps this lower Hell area CONSIDERABLY cool. (I can touch my hdmi cable now without needing to head to the ER for 3rd degree burns!) in all seriousness : 11/10. The best / must-have device to complete your ps5 experience. (I really would go for black rather than white btw. Cause the white doesnt match the ps5-white at all. black is the way to go)
