Let me just say...why haven't I bought this brush a looong time ago? If you are thinking about purchasing this brush, just stop thinking, place it in your cart and hit "Place Order" because this is an amazing brush! I have natural afro textured hair...around the 4A-B range. This brush it great at detangling, smoothing and makes my curls more pronounced. I couldn't believe my eyes! Seems like the more I brushed my hair with this brush (with leave in conditioner in it) my curls seemed to become more bouncy. Another great factor is that this brush removes the shed strands without damaging your hair...less fall out..I'm winning with this brush. It's officially my holy grail brush, no more wide toothed shower combs for me. I thought about modifying this brush when I first bought it so that it wouldn't be rough on my strands but so far I don't feel that I need to. This was money well spent. I do recommend this to any and everybody, especially if you have curly, coarse, thick hair. Please do you and your hair a favor and give this brush a try, you may just fall in love with it like I did.

What a great brush for my 3B-3C fine hair. I use it to before and after shampooing and conditioning my hair.

I LOVE this brush. It is the best one I have owned my entire life. I have long hair with loose curls, but I frequently straighten it. This brush has a smooth silicone base with smooth bristles that are firm with some flex. It doesnt have those little plastic balls for hair to catch on. The tips are not sharp like on nylon brushes, so instead of scratching my scalp it massages. The materials make it easy to glide through the hair and it detangles easily. In the shower on wet hair it's smooth to a whole other level. Of course I start from the bottom of my hair and work my way up to reduce breakage. The proof is in the bristles....I have much less shed/broken hair build up in the brush than I have in the past. When it comes to cleaning, it's a dream. The hair pulls right off and a quick scrub with dish soap makes it squeaky clean. At $12 the price is great, considering how much good brushes at Ulta or a salon are. I have nothing but good things to say about this brush. I have just bought another to keep at the office and I will buy the mini version for my purse. I love it!

Good for course, thick wavy hair. Worth the price

I have 2A-2C hair that I never have enough time to deal with. Every comb and brush I had pulls my curls out. Not the Denman brush! The Denman brush is amazing! The first time I used it, after watching YouTube tutorials on how to use for curly hair, I had my curls without using any product at all! It does take time to do, but the fact it works on my hair without hair product is a time saver so it balances out. I have very long hair so takes me about 20 minutes to section hair and curl around the brush per the YouTube videos. Also, I have just combed through my wet hair and I still got curls, just not the clumped defined curls, more the small curls, which is still a plus and easier after years of trying wide tooth combs or just a detangling brush in the shower. Easy to clean, works detangling and even works on dry hair, although my hair poofed out lol. I have not yet tried to remove any rows but I don't think I will need to. No broken handle but I've only had a week and I have not dropped it yet. I'm hoping the handle stays intact!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I have been using Denman brushes for years. My hair stylist used them and recommended them to me.

It's one of the best looking brushes I've owned, and probably the best made. This brush is made in Great Britain, and is adorable. I love the pink rubber where the rounded bristles poke out. The black handle is cute too, with the gold-plated writing. I bought the D-31 brush, which is supposed to be good for detangling curly and kinky hair. (I am a 4A/4B type). If you're a natural looking to purchase a Denman for detangling the D-31 is good for detangling ALL TYPES (but preferably short to medium length curly hair). On the other hand, the D-41 is the better choice for THICK, or medium length to long hair. I bought the D-31 because I thought it would be a better investment.

This shouldn't be a question, but when your hair is this thick, it has to be detangled before using this brush. The bristles are removable on this model as well. Usually, I only need to section about 12 parts and it styles well. One thing I would say, is if your hair is particularly thick, do not use this unless it's very damp. It will rip out your hair painfully, otherwise.

Es el cuarto cepillo que compro y no será el último. Es perfecto para desenredar y definir el cabello rizado. Tengo un cabello tipo 3-b y para mí es muy fácil peinarme cada mañana con este cepillo. Yo lo utilizo en la ducha, luego de lavar el cabello lo desenredo comenzando por las puntas y luego voy subiendo, uso mi propia crema de definición, (hay muchas por la red, con diferentes productos), luego me coloco la crema para definir los rizos y voy peinando por partes. Para lograr un mejor resultado dejo secar mi cabello al aire libre, tanto en verano como en invierno, los rizos duran bastante incluso días si sabes cuidarlos, las rizadas me entenderán. Bueno volviendo al cepillo hay una cosa muy importante que hay que hacer y es que al terminar de usarlo es imprescindible desmontarlo y lavarlo bien para quitar cualquier resto de producto que pueda haber quedado dentro porque eso puede deteriorar la goma y hacer que el cepillo nos dure menos tiempo. Yo estoy muy contenta, lo tengo en 2 tamaños, y suelo quitarle algunas filas de cerdas para obtener el rizado que a mi me gusta. Espero que tu experiencia sea igual de buena que la mía porque es un excelente cepillo si se sabe usarlo bien. Un saludo.

Ok so I started my healthy hair journey circa 2008 and ever since then I have known about Denman Brushes. It wasn't until a few months ago that I actually bought one! Crazy huh? I don't know what took me so long but this is hands down THE BEST product/tool I've bought since I embarked on this journey and I am a product junkie. This brush makes detangling a BREEZE! And this is coming from someone who thought she had detangling down pat. This significantly reduces the time it takes me to detangle my hair (for reference I have 3c/4a hair) and it clumps my curls. The first couple of times I used this I just had to laugh because I knew about denmans for SO long but didn't buy one because of all the negativity I heard and because I couldn't figure out which one of the brushes to buy. I kept coming across posts or videos of people modifying the other Denmans because of x,y,z. Listen, if you have 3c/4a hair buy this one!!

Excelente para todo tipo de cabello si tienes cabello rizado ayuda con el frizz. Se le pueden quitar las filas de cerdas para limpiarlo pero no ha sido necesario porque a diferencia de otros cepillos no acumula residuos ni pelusas!! Está genial.

Pour ce qui est de l’utilisation, la brosse est parfaite pour mes cheveux de type 3c : le démêlage est indolore, limite la casse/chute des cheveux et c’est encore plus facile sur cheveux mouillés ! Plus besoin de prolonger la douche pour démêler ses cheveux, et avec de belles boucles en prime! Je suis ravie ! Je recommande !
