The Tao of Tea, Topaz Puer Pu-er Tea, Loose Leaf, 3.5 Ounce Tin

This brand of tea is one of my absolute favorites. This one in particular is my daily brew. Excellent quality and the container is great too!

I have never had a bad cup from the Tao of Tea company. Plus, you can read the labels that tell you exactly what the tea is like. I also appreciate that they tell you how many times you can reuse the tea leave (twice, at least three times, etc) which makes it clear they want you to enjoy the tea, not just make a buck off of you. I also really enjoy the double lid the containers have. It's like each batch of tea deserves its own special container. As far as this Pu-er tea goes, I found it to be dark and earthy like the label says. It's just a nice complex taste without any bitterness. Very nice!

Decent! For the price, this loose leaf puer works, quite well. Gives a generic good quality puer experience. Reliably decent daily drinker. Save your facy puer for guests if you want. This does the job.

It was my first time trying this tea and I gotta say the first thing is how it smells both when you open it and when it's brewed its soo good! It came a day early and it's super fresh. It's super smooth and real dark and earthy I love it. As for how long it lasts if you do it in the traditional gongfu style it'll go for about fifteen steps so it's super good for the price I paid. It taste so good it has this really deep dark chocolate flavor to it that my wife and I love. With it I don't want anymore soda or any sweet drinks it's gotten me completely off the sugary drinks.

This is my FAVORITE loose-leaf tea! As a former coffee drinker, this tea has a little more caffeine than most, but not too much for those trying to cut down. The flavor is kinda earthy yet smooth, but is complemented really well when raw/unfiltered local honey & a wedge of Meyer's lemon is added. Another bonus is how many cups you can brew from one "set." For perspective, I use a 2-cup tea cup. I use 1 teaspoon leaves to 8 oz (or 2 teaspoons for 16 oz), & brew it for about 4 minutes. The leaves can be reused 3 or 4 times (or for up to 4-8 cups!). In fact, I'm getting ready to buy another canister! It helps me get going in the morning without the caffeine crash that coffee used to do! And, if I'm not using processed sugars, that's another toxin I've removed from my daily routine!

Best purer tea I’ve had.

Nice strong tea, doesn't take much of it for a good smooth drink and can use the leaves a few more times. I love the container and good value for the price. Will be buying it again.

Smells fishy and also like fish food when steeping, but not much flavor. So weird. Not enjoyable and wouldn’t recommend

It has a slight sea smell which is indicative of pu erh tea that needs ageing a little more. In any case, it is only slight and doesn’t affect taste. I’ve shopped around and it’s hard to get quality pu erh tea in England to be honest. I would recommend this and if you find something better let me know.

I often drink Oolong tea but this is a step up in favour and colour. Well packaged for freshness. A cup of tea can last all day topped up with hot water and still taste as good. Highly recommend it
